Digital Rodeo Invites CRS 2011 Attendees to Celebrate “British Invasion,” Nashville-Style

Digital Rodeo Invites CRS 2011 Attendees to Celebrate “British Invasion,” Nashville-Style

Performance applications now being accepted for third annual CRS wrap-up show, to be held at Nashville’s Cadillac Ranch on Friday, March 4

(Nashville, Tenn. – Jan. 31, 2011) Digital Rodeo is once again staging its annual Country Radio Seminar wrap-up event with this year’s themed “British Invasion” show, to be held Friday, March 4, at downtown Nashville venue Cadillac Ranch.

For the third year in a row, social network and Country lifestyle site DigitalRodeo.com is partnering with Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. to sponsor one of the most unique performance events at CRS.  The seminar-closing show typically features nearly two-dozen Country artists performing material from a non-Country genre or musical theme.  This year, participants are covering songs from the “British Invasion” era of the 1960s, although songs from more contemporary U.K.-based artists will also be considered for inclusion.

Digital Rodeo’s “British Invasion” show is open to credentialed CRS attendees only and kicks off at 10:30 p.m. CST or immediately following the CRS New Faces of Country Music® Show and Dinner at the Nashville Convention Center.  Performers in previous years have included: Laura Bell Bundy, Julianne Hough, Miranda Lambert, Jamie O’Neal, James Otto, Julie Roberts, Blake Shelton, Jimmy Wayne, Emily West, Chris Young and many more.

“Digital Rodeo has worked hard to put on a show that is creative in its concept and its appeal to the artists,” says Digital Rodeo Director of Marketing and Promotions, John Pyne.  “We dedicate a substantial amount of time and resources each year to produce this show so that these acts can make a memorable impression and benefit from such a unique opportunity at CRS.  We understand that Nashville is a town of relationships, and Digital Rodeo is committed to helping promote the music and artists and remain a trusted partner in this business.  This is going to be an exciting event!”

Adds Sharon Allen, CRB Director of Sponsorship Sales, “We are excited to have Digital Rodeo partner with us again this year for another fabulous event.  The past two years have provided some truly memorable moments, from Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert singing ‘If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body (Would You Hold It Against Me)’ to Laura Bell Bundy performing an electrifying version of Tina Turner’s ‘Proud Mary,’ complete with costumed dancers.  The British Invasion theme should really push this year’s performers to come up with some interesting choices.  CRB is proud to help put on such a unique show with Digital Rodeo to close out CRS each year.”

Digital Rodeo Partners with CMR Nashville for International Country Radio Show

“Digital Rodeo’s Maverick On Music Row” to feature interviews, on-air performances from Nashville’s 16 Ton Studios

(Nashville, Tenn. – Sept. 27, 2010)  Country music lifestyle site DigitalRodeo.com and London-based, online Country radio station CMR Nashville  have announced the formation of a strategic media partnership and resulting international radio show called “Digital Rodeo’s Maverick On Music Row.”

The one-hour radio show is recorded at Nashville’s legendary 16 Ton Studios and will broadcast online at www.CMRNashville.com.  The first episode airs Tuesday, Sept. 28, with repeat airings throughout the week.  Former Mavericks bassist and current Digital Rodeo executive, Robert Reynolds, hosts the program, which features a mix of major label and independent Country acts selected from the thousands of artists registered on DigitalRodeo.com.  Interviews, unplugged live performances and creative play lists are points of emphasis on “Digital Rodeo’s Maverick On Music Row,” says Reynolds.  Archived episodes of the show will be available on DR Radio, the free online radio player featured at www.DigitalRodeo.com. Check www.CMRNashville.com for specific local air times.

“There are a ton of talented acts out there that never get radio play,” says Digital Rodeo Director of Marketing and Promotions, John Pyne.  “Our goal is to provide those artists with a viable outlet for their music to be heard on the radio, and to expose the listeners to a much broader variety than what’s heard on most Country radio stations.  We welcome any and all Digital Rodeo artists with radio-quality material to submit their music for inclusion on our show.”

Adds Reynolds, “We want to be one of the first doors that open for these artists in terms of radio.  Digital Rodeo is fortunate to partner with a station like CMR Nashville to foster that kind of international relationship and growth.  We are looking forward to putting out a show that is unique in both its concept and its programming.”

As part of the Digital Rodeo and CMR Nashville strategic partnership, Digital Rodeo is sponsoring one of the awards at the upcoming British Country Music Awards, to be held Oct. 10, 2010, in Surrey, England.

“I am so excited that Digital Rodeo and CMR Nashville have finally partnered on this project to offer artists and labels the opportunity to grow on both sides of the pond with like-minded companies offering their services,” says CMR Nashville CEO Lee Williams.  “Like CMR Nashville, Digital Rodeo works tirelessly for the growth of the music we all love.”

Digital Rodeo Stages Second Annual Wrap Party and Show to Close Out Country Radio Seminar

Digital Rodeo Stages Second Annual Wrap Party and Show to Close Out Country Radio Seminar

Cadillac Ranch to Host Festivities, “Guilty Pleasures” Show

(Nashville, TN – Jan. 21, 2010)  Following the success of last year’s inaugural CRS 40th Anniversary Jam, DigitalRodeo.com has once again partnered with Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc.® to stage a unique concert which will unofficially close out CRS 2010.

This year’s event, dubbed the Digital Rodeo Guilty Pleasures Show, will be held Friday, Feb. 26, at Cadillac Ranch in downtown Nashville.  The show is set to kick off at 10:30 p.m. or immediately following the CRS New Faces of Country Music® Show and Dinner at the Nashville Convention Center.

The “Guilty Pleasures” theme encourages artists to choose and perform cover versions of one of their favorite songs from any artist, across any genre of music.   Last year’s show featured performances from artists including Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Jimmy Wayne, Julianne Hough, James Otto, Jamie O’Neal, Justin Moore, Brady Seals and many more.   A selection of Nashville’s finest musicians will once again serve as the artists’ backing band.

“Last year’s event was such a huge success that we knew we had to do it again this year,” says Robert Reynolds, DigitalRodeo.com Director of Industry Relations.  “Every artist has a ‘guilty pleasure’ when it comes to music, and this is their opportunity to get up on stage and really cut loose and have some fun.  We’ve expanded the show so that artists can cover any song from any genre, so who knows what we’ll hear this year.  I do know it’s going to be a memorable night with more than a few surprises!”

Adds Sharon Allen, CRB Director of Sponsorship Sales, “The Digital Rodeo event at CRS really ends the seminar on a fun note.  There are very few opportunities for artists to get on stage and perform basically anything they want, so we received a lot of positive feedback last year from the artists in that respect.  And of course, the packed house got to see some of Nashville’s biggest names do something really unique.  It’s definitely one of the CRS live events that people are already talking about this year.”

Artists appearing at this year’s Digital Rodeo Guilty Pleasures Show will be announced in the coming weeks.
