Ashley Gearing Releases Emotionally-Charged New Single, “Five More Minutes”

Arrives at Country radio this week

(Nashville, Tenn. – March 21, 2011)  Curb Records recording artist Ashley Gearing has released her sophomore single to Country radio, a stirring and emotionally-charged new ballad titled “Five More Minutes.”

Gearing co-wrote “Five More Minutes” with Tiffany Goss and Nicole Witt, which was produced by renowned industry veteran Byron Gallimore (Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Sugarland).  Gearing has been working with Gallimore on her debut album for Curb Records, due out later this year.

“Ashley continues to mature every time we go into the studio together,” said Byron Gallimore.  “’Five More Minutes’ is just another step in her evolution as a country superstar and I am thrilled to be associated with her as both a performer and a songwriter.”

The beautifully written “Five More Minutes” showcases Gearing’s soaring vocals and delivers a poignant message about the speed at which life can pass.  Gearing co-wrote the song with Goss and Witt during their first-ever writing session, when Ashley was still a high school student in Massachusetts.

“We wrote this song a little over three years ago and it still holds just as much meaning to me today as it did when we first wrote it. The message of the song is about the special moments in life that one should cherish because you can’t always have five more minutes,” said Gearing. “As I’ve gotten older and have become busier with my music career and everyday life, the song has taken on an even stronger meaning. I am so excited to be able to share this song with my fans and with country radio.”

“Five More Minutes” follows Gearing’s 2010 debut single, “What You Think About Us.”  The 19-year-old singer splits her time between furthering her education at Belmont University in Nashville and on the road touring to promote her music.

After its Nashville run ended, a new version, Chuck’s Country Lightning  went nationwide once more as one of the Americana Network’s cornerstone shows.  Long is a popular personality in Nashville, thanks to his hosting stints on the WB’s Mornings, The Americana Network’s Americana Digest and Writer’s Notes, correspondent duties on the syndicated television show Crook and Chase  and the Shop at Home Network, where he served as a Senior Host. Long currently hosts entertainment segments on Nashville’s WTVF-NewsChannel 5+.  An accomplished actor, Long has a substantial resume of film, television and theatre roles.

Ashley Gearing’s “What You Think About Us” Video Now Airing on GAC, CMT.com

(Nashville, Tenn. – Oct. 20, 2010) Ashley Gearing  fans can now watch the singer’s official music video for “What You Think About Us” on television on Great American Country (GAC) and online at CMT.com.

GAC officially added “What You Think About Us” to its rotation on Oct. 11.  Fans can enter the video into GAC’s Top 20 Country Countdown by voting for it at www.GACTV.com (direct link to the Top 20 page here).  The video is also featured on Gearing’s CMT.com artist profile page.

“What You Think About Us” was directed by award-winning video director Eric Welch (Randy Houser, Rodney Atkins, Heidi Newfield) and filmed in Franklin, Tenn., as well as the neighborhoods surrounding Nashville’s Belmont University and historic Music Row.

“I had so much fun making this video, especially since I was able to get some of my good friends together and let them be a part of it with me,” says Gearing.  “It was really cool that they got to see the other side of Ashley and what I do at ‘work.’  I think the video really portrays ‘What You Think About Us,’ because it’s young and relatable – we basically just documented a carefree afternoon with me and my friends having some fun.”

“What You Think About Us” is currently charted on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.  Co-written by Gearing with Brian Davis and Ben Glover, the song is the first single off the young singer’s much-anticipated debut for Curb Records.  Gearing has been working on the upcoming album with renowned music producer Byron Gallimore (Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Jo Dee Messina) since signing with the label.

At 12 years old, Ashley Gearing became the youngest female Country artist to appear on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles chart after releasing “Can You Hear Me When I Talk to You.” Gearing has received ASCAP’s Uncut Diamond Award and has performed numerous times on the legendary Grand Ole Opry.
