Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. Names Official Team of Moderators for CRS 2011

Five all-star Country radio industry veterans to helm CRS panels, marking yet another first for Country Radio Seminar

(Nashville, TN – Aug. 23, 2010)  In an unprecedented move for Country Radio Seminar, a team of five Country Radio industry veterans has been selected to moderate all CRS 2011 panels, CRB, Inc.® announced today.

The five individuals chosen by the CRB Board of Directors as the inaugural class of CRS moderators are Charlie Cook (McVay Media), Erica Farber (The Farber Connection, LLC), Dan Halyburton (McVay Media), Lon Helton (Country Aircheck) and Charlie Morgan (Emmis Broadcasting).

“In making this unprecedented change in our seminar, the vision of Country Radio Broadcasters was to implement a team of moderators who possess the specialized skills to draw the best from our panelists and audience participants,” says CRB Executive Director Bill Mayne.  “We feel that this is the best way to encourage open dialogue and useful ‘take away’ information from each session.  Our goal is to provide each participant with the necessary tools to increase revenue, increase ratings and advance their career.”

The five Country Radio Seminar moderators will share the responsibility of overseeing and directing 17 different educational panels over three days at CRS 2011, to be held March 2-4, 2011, at the Nashville Convention Center.  CRB plans to recruit a pool of at least 20 individuals to choose from to assemble each year’s class of moderators.

In the past two years, Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. has implemented a number of new events and seminar modifications designed to enhance the overall CRS experience for attendees.  These changes include a digital liners program, the CRS 1 on 1 mentoring sessions, a $99 Unemployment registration rate, a completely redesigned official CRB.org website, lower rates at all registration tiers and a streamlined agenda that ensures participants can attend more panels and events during the seminar.

Artist Registration Now Open for CRS 2011 Digital Liners

Debut of digital liners program well-received at CRS 2010, included participation from emerging acts to superstars

(Nashville, TN – Aug. 16, 2010)  Following its successful debut at CRS 2010, Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc.® has announced artist registration for its CRS 2011 digital liners program is now open.

The all-digital process replaced the Artist Radio Taping Sessions at CRS 2010 and provides artists with more flexibility to record liners at their leisure.  Artists will receive the liner requests directly from CRB by Nov. 3, 2010, and must submit the finished product back to CRB at liners@crb.org by Dec. 15, 2010.  Stations wishing to participate in the program must register for CRS 2011 and submit their liners to CRB for review by Oct. 31, 2010.

Artists who sign up for the program are obligated to record up to three custom liners per station, up to 150 stations.  One generic liner set will also be recorded by the artists for stations registering after Oct. 31.  Sixty-eight artists participated in the program’s debut at CRS 2010, from emerging acts to superstars such as Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Reba.

“Based on stellar feedback from our inaugural foray into digital liners, we are again offering a digital package to stations in place of a physical liner recording session at CRS 2011,” says CRB Board Member and Chair of the Digital Liners Task Force, John Zarling.  “We found that this new approach was appealing to many artists, managers and labels, along with more than 150 radio station attendees who registered for custom liners.  We are excited to again provide this opportunity, which is unique to the Country music community.”

For specific radio attendee inquiries, contact Kristen McRary at (615) 327-4487 or Kristen@CRB.org.  For specific artist inquiries, contact Chasity Crouch at (615) 327-4487 or Chasity@CRB.org.

CRB, Inc. Announces Biggest CRS Registration Rollback Ever

Limited time, $399 Early Bird Rate opens Tuesday, June 29 at 9 a.m. CST

(Nashville, Tenn. – June 28, 2010) Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc.® has announced the biggest Country Radio Seminar registration discount ever with its $399 Early Bird Registration Rate for CRS 2011.

The limited time, $399 price point represents a 20 percent decrease from last year’s Early Bird Rate, which had remained at $499 for the past several years.  The CRB Board of Directors agreed at its recent board meetings to implement the lower price as a means of encouraging earlier registration, which in turn helps facilitate agenda plans and artist appearances for CRS 2011, to be held March 2-4, 2011, at the Nashville Convention Center.

“Our focus is to give our peers financial relief in these tough economic times, especially those individuals that might have liked to attend Country Radio Seminar in the past, but were unable to afford it,” says CRB Executive Director Bill Mayne.  “This really is an unprecedented rollback for Country Radio Seminar, and we hope that the $399 rate encourages people to register as soon as possible.”

Registration for CRS 2011 opens Tuesday, June 29, at 9 a.m. CST on the CRB website at www.CRB.org or by contacting the Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. at 615-327-4487.  After the introductory $399 Early Bird rate expires, regular registration rates will apply.

The CRB Board of Directors also agreed to offer a sharply reduced Unemployment Rate for CRS 2011 later this year.  Details will be announced in the coming months.  CRS 2010 marked the first time an Unemployment Rate was introduced at Country Radio Seminar.
