Country Singer Austin Webb Signs With Streamsound Records

(Nashville, Tenn. – Oct. 11, 2012) Nashville-based independent label Streamsound Records has announced the signing of Country artist Austin Webb to its roster and the pending release of his debut single, “It’s All Good,” in December.

A Greenville, S.C., native and Nashville resident, Webb’s music straddles the line between the two genres he grew up listening to most: Country and Soul.  Citing influences like Joe Cocker, Otis Redding, Bill Withers, Guy Clark, Bob Dylan and Townes Van Zandt, the former Middle Tennessee University student is currently on the road visiting radio stations in advance of his single release to radio.

“Austin Webb is one of those artists that is hard to categorize in conventional terms,” says Streamsound co-founder and Grammy-winning producer Byron Gallimore.  “I can tell you that he is a truly gifted and creative force that has been driven solely by his music and his songs since he first picked up a guitar at 16 years old.  I think this young man is going to be a breath of fresh air for Country radio.  He’s genuine and engaging and instantly likeable.  I can’t wait for the world to hear Austin Webb.”

Founded by Gallimore and veteran industry exec Jim Wilkes, Streamsound Records opened its doors in February 2012 with the signing of Country artist Jaida Dreyer.  The label has an exclusive distribution deal for its artists through Sony Music Nashville.

Gallimore’s production credits include No. 1 hits for acts such as Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Sugarland and Lauren Alaina, among others.  Wilkes will oversee the label’s business operations.

Nashville-based Aristo P.R. (www.AristoPR.com) is handling publicity services for Webb.
