Ty Herndon Embarks on “Journey of a Lifetime” with New Album Due June 8

Chart-topping singer delivers his first album as a songwriter, prepares for busy CMA Music Fest week

(Nashville, Tenn. – June 3, 2010)  The journey continues for No. 1 hit recording artist Ty Herndon, as the singer and newly discovered songwriter prepares to release a collection of Country-tinged inspirational songs, titled Journey On, on June 8.

“Writing this music took me on the journey of my life,” says Herndon.  “There is joy and heartbreak, worship and big love within the walls of this music.”

Herndon’s newest project blends a contemporary Country and Christian sound with lyrics that reveal a singer reinvigorated with his faith and spirituality.  The release also marks Herndon’s debut as a songwriter, having co-written every song on the album, including “When We Fly,” the track that earned him a 2010 Dove Award earlier this year in the Bluegrass Recorded Song category.

Journey On marks a transitional point for Herndon and his 15-year career, which has produced sales of more than 4 million albums and multiple No. 1s on the Country charts, including “What Mattered Most,” “Living in a Moment” and “It Must Be Love.”  His new album’s title track and first single, “Journey On,” is being worked at Christian and Country radio and carries the positive kind of message that Herndon hopes will connect with his listeners.

“There was so much I wanted to say to fit where I find myself spiritually and emotionally, and I wanted to sing about that,” he says.  “When I was singing songs that someone else had written, I found that I wasn’t in my strongest voice.  I am very, very proud of this record and I can’t wait to share it with the world.”

Herndon’s busy schedule at this year’s 2010 CMA Music Festival includes a Ty Herndon & Friends benefit concert to raise money for the Middle Tennessee chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  Held Wednesday, June 9, at Nashville Palace, the 7 p.m. show will feature performances from artists including Michael Peterson, Julie Roberts, Anita Cochran, Diana DeGarmo, Amber Hayes, Herndon and more.  A fan appreciation luncheon at Nashville Palace will be held earlier that day at noon.  For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.tybenefit.eventbrite.com.

Herndon’s other Music Fest engagements include hosting duties for Sirius XM radio’s “Pure Country” channel, a performance on the Courthouse stage on Friday, June 11 at noon, and numerous booth signings and interviews throughout the week.

Beginning June 15, Herndon’s “Journey On” single will be offered on WalMart.com as its featured free mp3 download of the week.  Fans can also purchase a digital download of the entire Journey On album at his website, www.TyHerndon.com.

In February 2010, Herndon became the flagship artist for Nashville-based record label, FUNL Music.  The label plans to release another Ty Herndon project in the fall.

Lane Brody Helps Down Syndrome Association of Middle Tennessee Raise Funds at Fall Fiesta Event

New Lane Brody Album Due Out This Fall

(Nashville, TN – Sept. 17, 2009)

Oscar-nominated Country artist Lane Brody recently served as one of two Honorary Chairs at the Down Syndrome Association of Middle Tennessee’s 5th annual Fall Fiesta, held Aug. 29, 2009.

The event was held at the Factory in Franklin, Tenn. and raised more than $40,000 for the organization. The evening included dinner, cocktails and multiple auctions, as well as a special performance by Brody that included a version of “Sing a Song” with help from the children in attendance.

Brody was then presented a plaque by the association for her work and designation as an Honorary Chair of this year’s Fall Fiesta fundraiser.

“It means so much to be involved with a wonderful organization like the Down Syndrome Association of Middle Tennessee and the terrific efforts they are making on behalf of those affected by this condition. I’m so grateful that I had the opportunity to contribute to that in some small way,” said Brody. Visit www.DSAMT.org for more information.

The artist that scored a No. 1 hit with “The Yellow Rose of Texas,” Brody is busy this fall preparing for the release of her newest album, titled On the Wings of Songs. The first single, “Found in Each Other,” was produced by Brody and released earlier this year. On the Wings of Songs will initially be distributed online through a joint venture agreement with digital distribution label, GMV Nashville (www.gmvnashville.com).

Brody will also appear at the upcoming Rock your Country Soul event on Oct. 8 at Sound Kitchen Studios in Franklin, Tenn. The second annual concert benefits We Are Building Lives, a non-profit organization that helps homeless veterans.

Visit www.WeAreBuildingLives.org for more information.

Lane Brody’s career as a singer and performer includes successful forays into modeling and acting. She was a highly sought after commercial model for print and television ads before becoming a featured guest on the hit sitcom “Taxi.” She later starred in the television series “Heart of the City.” In recent years, Brody has balanced her time between making music and her devotion to animal activism, such as her involvement with wildlife rehabilitation facility Walden’s Puddle in Joelton, Tenn. Barefoot Justice Leaves Impression on Downtown Nashville Audiences

Trio Turning Heads with Shows at Nashville’s The Second Fiddle

(Nashville, TN – July 21, 2009)  Country-rock trio Barefoot Justice continue to turn heads with their weekly shows at legendary downtown Nashville honky-tonk The Second Fiddle.

“These guys always get a great response from our patrons,” says Kent Williams, manager of The Second Fiddle.  “Since they’ve started playing regularly here at the club, they’ve really gained a reputation as THE band to see down on Broadway.  We feel extremely lucky to have them here each week.”

The popular downtown act recently completed work in May on their self-titled debut album, produced by veteran Nashville producer Mark Moffatt.

“These are three of the strongest singers I’ve worked with,” says producer Moffatt.  “You have to catch this band live.  The music business is gravitating back towards live performance and these guys have been playing about as much as humanly possible. They have the goods to go the distance.”

Barefoot Justice will return to their residency at The Second Fiddle on July 22.  Their schedule includes shows every Wednesday (2 p.m. – 6 p.m.), Thursday (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.) and Friday (6 p.m. – 10 p.m.) as their regional touring schedule allows.  They are currently booking dates throughout the Southeast for the remainder of the summer and fall.

Their debut album, Barefoot Justice, is currently available at the band’s live shows.  It will also be available at www.myspace.com/BarefootJustice and on iTunes in the coming weeks.

For more information, visit www.BarefootJustice.com.  Exact show times can be found at www.TheSecondFiddle.com.
