SEASON ONE FINALE EPISODE ALERT! This week on TROUBADOUR, TX


This week in Episode 22 of Troubadour, TX (video preview HERE):

This week’s episode of Troubadour, TX features the finale concert for season one of the show.  Ten TTX artists perform live at an outdoor stage in Addison, Texas, to a crowd of nearly 2,000 people.

The season one finale is an all-music episode, focusing on the live concert and behind-the-scenes moments of everything – from live radio interviews promoting the concert, to sound check and artists backstage.

Taking the stage for the finale concert are Zane Williams, Beth Wood, Woody Russell, Susan Ashton, Cary Pierce, Guthrie Kennard, Kylie Rae Harris, Tom Faulkner, Little Brave and Nicolette Good.

There are also special performances with Ray Wylie Hubbard and Jack Ingram.

Troubadour, TX host Stacy Dean Campbell closes out the night of music with a look ahead to season two of the series.

Come along as Beth Wood takes her career to the next step, then catch up with Max Stalling down in Luckenbach, TX.  Also, TTX viewers get to meet Rohn Bailey for the first time!
This week’s showcases are: Billy Crockett (“Ticking of Her Heart”), Beth Wood (“The New Kid”) and Rohn Bailey (“Life Cafe”).

This week in Episode 20 of Troubadour, TX

This week in Episode 20 of Troubadour, TX (video preview HERE):

Episode 20 of Troubadour, TX explores how some artists are able to create some of their best music by channeling experiences of hurt and pain.  TTX also goes behind the scenes to observe some of the many differences in the types of gigs where artists perform.

Jack Ingram shares the inspiration behind his song “Biloxi” and performs the hit tune in a 41E showcase performance.

Also delivering a showcase performance is Texas music legend Ray Wylie Hubbard, who performs the song, “Rabbit.”

Troubadour, TX visits Little Brave in Austin, where the singer performs at a very unique venue.

Melissa Greener is at Blue Rock Studios in Wimberley, Texas.  She shares her personal struggle to kick drugs and alcohol and explains how it has affected her music career.  Greener also performs “Jackson” in a showcase performance.

Finally, TTX meets Gary Lynn Floyd, who has gone from the top of the Christian music charts to creating songs that lean more towards a Pop and Soul sound.  Gary’s showcase performance features the song “Unbound.”

Nicolette Good sings “Son of My Sister,” Jack Ingram takes the stage performing “Right for You,” and Brice Beaird sings “Same Kind As You.”

It’s a unique night of music as Troubadour, TX travels to Waco.  Five Troubadours take the stage, including Kylie Rae Harris (performing “Waited”), Woody Russell (performing “We May Never Know”), Little Brave (performing “Fact or Fiction”), Ryan Edgar (performing “Wherever You Are”) and Zane Williams (performing “Ride With Me”).

TTX also meets up with The Trishas. The group explains how their hit band started, the challenges of balancing motherhood while touring, and the funny story about how they came up with their name.  The Trishas perform “Mother of Invention” on episode 18 of TTX.

Next, spend some time with Jon Christopher Davis as he performs at the Dallas Cowboys’ stadium and listen in on how he turned an idea for a t-shirt into an entire brand.  Watch a showcase performance with Jon as he performs “You Gotta Love Someone.”

Troubadour, TX is in Nashville, Tennessee, with Kylie Rae Harris as she meets with her wardrobe consultant and gets some pointers on how to dress like a star.  Later, Kylie and her management team confront the issues of drinking too much and its implications on an artist’s career.

TTX travels to Adeline, Texas, with Zane Williams as he gets career advice from Country music star Aaron Watson.  Later, Zane takes the stage in Austin alongside some of the best songwriters in the business.  Zane wows the sold-out crowd with a performance of “Overnight Success.”

Troubadour TJ Broscoff shares a personal story about his battle with substance abuse that almost cost him his life.

And finally, Troubadour, TX enjoys a showcase performance from Walt Wilkins performing his song, “Trains I Missed.”

Check in with Troubadour Zane Williams as he spends time with artist Drew Womack.  Drew is opening for the Oak Ridge Boys in Allen, Texas, and takes time to talk to Zane about the adjustments he’s made in order to juggle family life while touring full-time.

TTX visits backstage with Drew about his career as a writer and performer, then watches as he performs one of his hit songs on stage.

Viewers meet Tom Prasada Rao and get a chance to observe him in the studio as a writer and producer.  Tom also performs with his bandmates from The Sherpas.

TTX features a performance from artist Phoenix Hart and then learns where she finds the inspiration behind her songwriting.

Showcase performances: Tom Prasada Rao (“Sleeping Beauty”) and Phoenix Hart (“Angels”).

Go behind the scenes with Tom Faulkner, who has written some of the most successful jingles of our time.  Tom talks about being a performer and why writing jingles wasn’t originally something he wanted to do.

 

Visit with Ryan Edgar as he rehearses at home for his next gig, then come along as he performs at Gilley’s in Dallas.  Listen as he shares what inspired him to write one of his newest songs.

Meet Ellis, a Troubadour who brings a unique mix of storytelling and humor to the stage.  The TTX crew is with Ellis as she performs at a popular listening room in Dallas and meets with fans.

Cary Pierce performs with his band Jackopierce in Dallas, Texas and Sonoma, California.  Cary meets with music industry expert Michael Blanton to pitch some new material.  After listening in Cary’s studio, Blanton critiques the songs and lets Cary know if he thinks he’s recorded a new hit!

 

TTX viewers are introduced to San Antonio artists Chacho and Brance, whose music is often described as “Soul Folk.”  Learn what inspires their songwriting and then celebrate with them during their first CD release.

Visit Grammy-winning artist Rick Trevino at home as he works on a new song and shares how his priorities have changed since becoming a dad.

Woody Russell gets some unexpected career advice from BE Music President Michael Blanton. Woody takes the stage in Austin and then hits Guitar Center, where he discovers some vintage guitars.
