Inaugural event to be held June 6th at the Westin Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee
The Innovation in Music Awards has announced Mike McVay (McVay Media/McVay Syndication/ Listener Driven Radio) as the recipient of the Heritage Award in Innovation and Leslie Fram (CMT) as the recipient of the Innovation in National Media Award. McVay and Fram will accept the awards during the inaugural event on June 6th at the Westin Hotel in Nashville, Tenn.
The Heritage Award in Innovation serves to recognize Mike McVay as a music-industry professional who has committed his entire career for identifying groundbreaking initiatives and discovering new talent.
Mike McVay is the President of McVay Media and McVay Syndication, partner of Listener Driven Radio, and Co-Founder of McVay New Media. Known globally as media’s most influential media strategist, McVay serves as a consultant and advisor to radio stations, artists, singers/songwriters, Internet businesses, Networks, air talent as well as publications. Adding to his already impressive list of nominations, McVay has been recognized as Ohio Media Leader of The Year, Broadcaster of the Year from Cleveland Association of Broadcasters, Broadcast Consultant of the Year at the Radio Music Awards, as well as Broadcast Executive of the Year for Radio & Records Magazine for three years running, 2006-2008.
The Innovation in National Media Award recognizes Leslie Fram as a trailblazer in exposing new music on a national level, such as her work with “Next Women of Country” and the digital series “Concrete Country.”
Leslie Fram currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Music Strategy at Country Music Television (CMT), where she oversees all music integration with the CMT brand for original programs, CMT.com and video airplay across all platforms. Negotiating vital partnerships with label and indie acts for exclusive content and premieres, she spearheaded new avenues to reveal and showcase on-the-rise talent, per the development of the digital series “Concrete Country” and the movement of “Next Women of Country,” designed solely to empower the female voices of country music. Fram also serves on the board of the Academy of Country Music and has received honors such as the TJ Martell Award, NARAS-Atlanta Chapter Heroes Award, and Lifetime Achievement Inductee in the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame.

Nominations for awards are being accepted and reviewed by the IMA selection committee. Nominations can be made through the Innovation Music Awards Nomination Form.
