Elliott mastered the acoustic guitar at the age of eight and banjo, mandolin and keyboard followed.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI\u2019ve never been given anything,\u201d<\/em> Elliott says of his journey so far.<em> \u201cThere\u2019s definitely no trust funds and no \u2018daddy\u2019s money\u2019. Everything that I\u2019ve achieved thus far has been by the sweat of my brow.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On <strong>January 5,<\/strong> Elliott will release a new single, titled <strong>\u201cI Got You\u201d<\/strong> through The Orchard\/Sony. The single will be the first ballad from Elliott, following his two up-tempo singles \u201cStart Pourin\u2019 Whiskey On It\u201d and \u201cWhat\u2019s Not To Love,\u201d both released in 2017. \u201cI Got You\u201d was written by Tim Elliott and <strong>Bill Diluigi<\/strong> and produced by Grammy Nominated <strong>Kent Wells<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Elliott said, <em>\u201cThis was the first song I wrote when I got to Nashville. \u2018I Got You\u2019 has always held a special place in my heart, so I am super-excited to share it with the world. In today\u2019s world, I think, we get so wrapped up in work and our careers. I hope that this song reminds folks to let the person that\u2019s closest to them know \u201cI got you\u201d no matter the situation, even if it\u2019s nothing more than a dance around the living room.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Through his previous releases, Elliott has garnered over one million streams through Spotify. His music incorporates a diverse range of musical tastes and influences, including Hank Williams Sr., Frank Sinatra, and Sammy Davis. Elliott is the two-time winner of Country Artist of the Year for the Carolina Music Awards, in which both North and South Carolina are included. He has toured across the country performing over 200 dates. This year alone, he\u2019s opened shows for Chris Young, Dustin Lynch, Frankie Ballard, Rodney Atkins, Tracy Lawrence, Kane Brown, Sammy Kershaw and others.<\/p>\n<p>Fans can also expect to hear more music from Tim Elliott on his EP, to be released in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Over the last few months, Elliott has traveled the country on a radio tour in support of the single release. Most recently, the Boone, North Carolina-native has visited Iowa, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Tennessee, New York, and Connecticut. He plans to continue traveling and visiting new stations in 2018. <em>\u201cI am really looking forward to kicking off the \u201cI Got You\u201d radio tour. I have met so many great people across the country. I look forward to revisiting my radio friends and <\/em><em>making new ones!\u201d said<\/em> Tim.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em>Elliott is one of the founding members of Matthew 25:35, Inc., a non-profit organization which raises money to assist people in the community with a specific emphasis on feeding the hungry.
