Proceeds benefit True Colors Fund and homeless LGBT youth
(Nashville, Tenn. – Dec. 9, 2015) Keb’ Mo’ recently joined a star-studded lineup to perform at the Cyndi Lauper & Friends: Home For the Holidays benefit concert. The Dec. 5 concert, which featured performances from headliner Cyndi Lauper and friends Keb’ Mo’, Natasha Bedingfield, Boy George, Richie Sambora and Orianthi, Kurt Vile, Cam, Judy Gold, Ledisi, Angela McCluskey, Sharon Osbourne, Jordan Pundik, Valerie Simpson, Anne Steele, Joey Taranto, Justin Tranter and was hosted by Carson Kressley, raised funds for the True Colors Fund. True Colors Fund is Lauper’s charity dedicated to raising awareness, working with the government, conducting research, collaborating with youth and developing communities and solutions to prevent and end LGBT youth homelessness. Research shows that up to 40 percent of all homeless youth in the U.S. identify as LGBT, and the most common reason for their homelessness is family rejection. This year’s benefit concert was held at New York City’s Beacon Theatre.
