(Nashville, Tenn. – Jan. 29, 2016) Bill Miller, founder of the Johnny Cash Museum, has released a statement regarding today’s acquisition of the Lawrence Records building, located at 409 Broadway, Nashville, Tenn.
Miller commented saying, “We are pleased to take ownership of the Lawrence Records building. This acquisition further demonstrates our commitment to and belief in the city of Nashville. We will be announcing details on an exciting and unique food and beverage concept for the site soon. Suffice it to say that we will continue to live up to the bar we set in terms of quality at The Johnny Cash Museum.”
Specific details surrounding the space will be released in the coming months.
In addition to the Lawrence Records building, Miller currently owns and operates the Johnny Cash Museum, which is located at 119 Third Ave. Since opening on April 26, 2013, the museum has received widespread national attention, including a AAA Gem rating as well as being named the #1 Must Visit Museum for Music Lovers by Conde Nast Traveler [Worldwide], the #1 Pitch Perfect Museum by National Geographic [Worldwide], and one of five Nashville Must-Sees by Forbes Magazine. Additionally, the museum has been featured by numerous other national and regional outlets, including CNN, USA Today, NY Times, Time Magazine, Southern Living, Huffington Post, Rolling Stone, Money Magazine, and many others. Miller recently announced plans surrounding an expansion of the museum, set to open in March 2016.
