(Nashville, Tenn. – September 7, 2018) – Following the release of her debut single, “Little By Little,” Country singer-songwriter Kelsey Lamb is back with the release of her new track “Only For The Summer.” This song breaks new territory for Lamb and illustrates the bittersweet story of a temporary summer romance. Listen to “Only For The Summer” here.
“Only For The Summer,” produced by Bill McDermott, was written by Lamb along with Jean Nolan and Taylor Goyette and recorded at Omni Studios in Nashville, TN. With lyrics that reference waves, blue skies and tan lines “Only For The Summer” is saying ‘goodbye’ to summer and ‘hello’ to fall.
After the success of her debut single “Little By Little” and traveling the country on a radio tour, Lamb wanted to release a follow-up track to transition into cooler weather and show a more emotional side to her music vocally and lyrically.
“I never thought I was going to release this song, but I knew it was special when I wrote it. I was listening to my old demos one day on the road and ‘Only For The Summer’ really hit me emotionally. I decided this song needed to be heard and thought fall was the perfect time to release it. This song takes me back to my roots and the sound I grew up on with an intimate Country storyline and melody,”Says Lamb.
Recently playing Whiskey Jam at Winners Bar & Grill, Lamb has several other upcoming dates in Nashville, TN including:
