The CRS 2020 Event will feature performances by CMA KixStart Artist Scholarship recipients, Angie K, Everette, and Kylie Morgan
(Nashville, Tenn. – Jan. 14, 2020) –Country Radio Seminar (CRS) and the Country Music Association (CMA) will once again partner for the CMA Welcome Reception, held at CRS 2020 on Wednesday, Feb. 19 from 5-6 p.m. in the Broadway Pre-Function Area of the Omni Nashville Hotel. The CMA Welcome Reception will feature performances by the second annual CMA KixStart Artist Scholarship recipients, Angie K, Everette, and Kylie Morgan.
Always a highlight of the three-day event, 2020 marks the tenth consecutive year the Welcome Reception has made an appearance on the CRS agenda and is the fifth year CRS has partnered with CMA for this event. Throughout the one-hour event, artists and attendees can enjoy mingling in a relaxed, informal environment.
Rising Country stars Angie K, Everette, and Kylie Morgan officially began their year-long CMA KixStart Artist Scholarship program, named after Kix Brooks of Brooks & Dunn, on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019. Throughout the program, CMA will mentor the artists, connect them with top industry professionals, as well as provide them opportunities to participate in CMA-related events during CMA Awards, CMA Fest, international events, and CMA Foundation programs.
Named an “Artist to Watch” by Rolling Stone Country, Angie K has played more than 1000 shows across the US and Central America, independently released two original albums, and toured with Jake Owen, Tanya Tucker, and more. She has landed two albums in the top five on iTunes, a song on Apple Music’s “Hot Tracks” playlist, and even one song that served as the soundtrack for the Magic Kingdom’s Happily Ever After nightly fireworks show at Walt Disney World.
Broken Bow Records’ Everette has already released a debut project, Slow Roll, which they co-produced and wrote almost every track on their own. The two artists forming Everette, Brent Rupard and Anthony Olympia, pride themselves on writing real tales and have co-written almost all of their songs, as well as have played nearly every instrument on their studio recordings.
EMI Records Nashville’s Kylie Morgan has been named to several Artists to Watch lists including CMT’s Listen Up Class of 2019, CMT’s Next Women of Country Class of 2020, SiriusXM’s On The Horizon, Taste of Country’s Who’s Rising Now and Pandora’s Artists to Watch for 2020. Kylie is a SMACKSongs writer currently working on her debut album. Kylie has toured with popular artists, including Dan + Shay, Little Big Town, and Maren Morris.
Effective Jan. 17, the registration rate for Country Radio Seminar 2020 (CRS 2020) will increase to the on-site rate of $699 from the current rate of $649.
