(Nashville, Tenn. – Sep 21, 2020) – Grammy award-winning songwriter Tia Sillers and critically-acclaimed artist Shannon Labrie will perform together for The Poets of Nashville show at Peace Center – Genevieve’s Theater Lounge (300 S Main St, Greenville, SC 29601) on Thursday, Oct. 1. The Poets of Nashville is a captivating acoustic show sharing the ‘life of a song’ through each songwriter’s personal story. From hit songs to a new song written the day before the show, Sillers and LaBrie will give the audience a glimpse into the heart of Music City – a city built around songs! Growing up in Nashville, Tia Sillers became hooked on songwriting as a high-school student when she attended her first songwriters round. Since that time, Sillers has become a Grammy Award-winning songwriter who has success with over 40 singles in multiple music formats with numerous #1 singles and multiple Song of The Year Awards to her credit. Most recently, Sillers was named as one of the 2020 Nominees for the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Three of Tia Sillers songs have already become 21st-century classics: Lee Ann Womack’s “I Hope You Dance”, The Dixie Chicks’ “There’s Your Trouble,” and Kenny Wayne Shepherd’s, “Blue On Black.” “I Hope You Dance”, deeply connected with listeners and received worldwide exposure, including the Nobel Prize awards ceremony and became a New York Times Best Selling book written by Tia Sillers and her co-writer Mark D. Sanders. In addition to the Grammy for Song of the Year, “I Hope You Dance” was named CMA, ACM, NSAI, ASCAP, BMI Song of the Year.
Shannon LaBrie is a Nashville based singer-songwriter who brings life to insightful stories of a woman who remains true to herself in a life where only uncertainty is certain. The songstress grew up on a farm near Lincoln, Nebraska, and attributes her career start to her Dad, who passed away when she was just thirteen. She is now set to release her follow up LP “Building” on Moraine Music. Listeners got a first taste of the album with her current single “Firewalker,” a heroic anthem NPR named Top 20 of 2020 describing the anthem as, “a spirited statement to keep soldiering on” while American Songwriter calls it, “a ray of light that can guide you through each day.” Produced by multi-Grammy Award-winners Brent Maher and Charles Yingling, Building will be available on all digital retailers. A favorite among music fans and critics alike, LaBrie is a fearless performer whose music possesses a unique blend of Americana and Soul. She achieved over 12M streams and received rave reviews from Rolling Stone, CMT, NPR, and more for her powerful 2016 album War & Peace, as well as for her recent single “Firewalker”. And with the upcoming album, Shannon LaBrie is definitely busy building.

This performance is designed to create the feeling of an intimate listening room experience while adhering to COVID-19 CDC protocols. Before attending the performances, guests should note that precautions will be taken in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Audience members will be required to wear masks at all times unless seated at their table. The venue will also enforce social distancing as only 25 tables of four are being sold to the public.
