“Christmas in a Bottle” Raises Awareness for Mental Health During the Holiday Season

(Nashville, Tenn. – Dec. 6, 2022) Nashvillains are back in the holiday spirit with the re-release of their signature holiday track, “Christmas in a Bottle” – listen on all streaming services worldwide here. The trio released a music video to accompany the holiday track last year and has now decided to give the single new life this season with a re-release. Audiences can view the music video here.

Written by Nashvillains’ members Brett Boyett, Troy Johnson, and Scott Lindsay, the band created “Christmas in a Bottle” to be an honest holiday track for those struggling with mental health, seasonal depression, and/or problems with substance abuse during the holidays. Nashvillains understand that holidays can be difficult for some; therefore, they wanted to create music that highlights the internal battle many face around the holiday season and be a beacon of hope to those struggling to cope amongst holiday cheer. Relatable and honest, “Christmas in a Bottle” strives to normalize that it is ok to ask for and need help any time of the year.

Lead singer, Johnson explains, “The holiday season can be pretty hard on good people, and our new Christmas song attempts to comfort those in less-than-ideal situations this year. We took seriously the feeling of loneliness that some people can experience during this time by telling them they’re not alone. We get it. The stark realism of the lyric is pure Nashvillains.”

Along with the Christmas single, Nashvillains released their debut album this year, Tumbling Down, and have since released several music videos to complement the album and provide visuals. Videos include “Chickasaw Bayou,” “Devil Don’t Sleep,” and “There to Catch Me.”  “There to Catch Me” was directed by award-winning director and producer Bethany Ashton Wolf, and contains two versions – a short-form music video and a long-form cinematic production. The long-form version has appeared in two film festivals this year. The short-form version of the music video is available for fans to view here.

Signed to Fate Entertainment, Nashvillains’ inception stemmed from the industry veterans’ and musicians’ shared love of country music and rock and roll. Each member has been successful in their own right before coming together for this unique project. Collectively, they have written and produced music for feature films, television shows, and major artists like The Chicks, Keith Urban, Cassadee Pope, James Taylor, Lauren Alaina, among many more.

Nashvillains look to create a fresh musical landscape by blurring lines between genres, bending the rules of convention, and expanding country music. The sonic landscape of Nashvillains is accomplished by using traditional instrumentation with creative modern programming while emphasizing the dramatic and untold stories rarely touched upon by today’s popular country music.
