(Nashville, Tenn. – December 19, 2022) Josh Kinney is set to start the new year with the release of a new single, “Tangled Up.” The new heartfelt song will be available on Dec. 30 and is currently available for pre-save on all streaming platforms worldwide here.

Written by Kinney and produced by David Ray Stevens, “Tangled Up” allows listeners to match their heartbeat with the steady drumbeat as they reflect on their romantic relationships. The production on the single is a crossover blending country and pop, and bringing lyrics, “Don’t matter where we end up, just lean on back and feel your cup, tangled up in love,” to life.

Kinney explains the inspiration behind the music, “‘Tangled Up’ is a song about young love and the idea that all two lovers need in this world is each other. I hope “Tangled Up” places listeners in a memory they may have forgotten about when they first fell in love.”

Signed to Los Angeles-based record label, Birmingham Entertainment, Josh Kinney has turned his life story full of family, being raised in a house with 9 siblings, 3 of which were adopted through foster care and small-town baseball games into music that touches souls. What started out as writing songs at 14 has now turned into working with producer Jimmy Ritchey (known for his work with Sam Hunt and Jake Owen) and Alabama-based A&R exec Johnny Wilson.

Kinney’s music hits both country and pop audiences with its Florida Georgia Line and Khalid influences. However, there’s one theme that all listeners, fans of both pop and country, can relate to and that is the love of music and family on a small-town Saturday night.

Kinney’s previous video/single releases include: “Never Wanna Leave,” “I Found,” “Barefoot Green Grass,” “Southland,” and “Ocean.” He has also been performing in Alabama and Tennessee.
