(Nashville, Tennessee – December 15, 2023) A Celebration of Life event has been scheduled to honor the memory and legacy of the late Bill Mayne, a long-time music and radio industry executive, former CRB/CRS Executive Director, former ACM Board Chair, and ACM Lifting Lives founding member and former Board Chair.

Friends, colleagues, and admirers of Bill Mayne are invited to come together and pay tribute to his remarkable journey in the music industry. Guests are encouraged to drop by at their convenience between 5:30-7:30 p.m., and come ready to share stories and fond memories of Bill Mayne. In addition to sharing stories, a special montage is being created to commemorate Bill’s journey through the years. Attendees are encouraged to contribute photos of Bill. Images may be sent to rj@crb.org to be included.
Bill Mayne’s career spanned nearly five decades, leaving an indelible mark in various facets of the music industry. He started as a musician, transitioned to radio, and eventually held influential roles in the record label industry. His dedication extended to the Country Radio Broadcasters (CRB), where he served as Executive Director for a remarkable decade, revitalizing the organization and contributing significantly to the radio industry. He also helped shape the present and future of Country Music by dedicating 35 years of his life to serving on the ACM and ACM Lifting Lives boards. During his tenure, he served as ACM Board Chairman, was a founding member of ACM Lifting Lives and served as the ACM Lifting Lives Board Chairman, and also held every Officer role for both organizations.
Additionally, Bill Mayne’s philanthropic efforts were profound. In addition to his dedication to ACM Lifting Lives, he was a founder of the Country Cares for St. Jude Kids® program, which has raised over $950 million for St. Jude since its inception. He also served on the board of the Country Music Association and was a distinguished member of Leadership Music and the Mayor’s Nashville Music Council.
Bill Mayne is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Sallie Mayne, his sons Bryant Mayne and Christopher Mayne, and his grandchild, Everleigh Mayne.
