Offering Fans an Intimate Look at the Heart Behind the Song
(Nashville, TN – September 11, 2025) – Emerging country artist Jet Jurgensmeyer has unveiled a powerful new acoustic performance video for his latest single, “RED,” filmed at the renowned Hilson Studio. With nearly a million streams and climbing, the fan-favorite track now gets a raw, unplugged treatment that puts the song’s message front and center.
In this stripped-back acoustic performance, Jurgensmeyer delivers “RED” in its purest form – just his voice, a guitar, and a microphone – surrounded by soft red lighting that reflects the song’s powerful message. The simple, intimate setting brings the lyrics into focus, emphasizing the shared human experience at the heart of the track: no matter where we come from, we all bleed red.
“This version really lets the story breathe,” says Jurgensmeyer. “I wanted people to feel like they were in the room with me – just hearing the song the way it was written.”
While the acoustic video takes center stage, the official music video for “RED” adds another layer to the song’s impact [watch here]. Shot on location at Galloway Farms in Franklin, Tennessee, and directed by the Riker Brothers, the cinematic video showcases sweeping rural landscapes, the American flag, and Jet’s grounded, hard-working spirit.
Co-written with Ericca Latza and Kayleigh Clark, “RED” was born during a first-time collaboration between the three songwriters. Jurgensmeyer brought the concept to the session, aiming to explore how the color red symbolizes pride, hard work, love, and shared humanity. Produced by Jet alongside Dan Frizsell and recorded at Farmland in Berry Hill, Nashville, the track is a powerful anthem rooted in unity and resilience.
“RED” follows the success of Jurgensmeyer’s 2024 sophomore album THE RIDE: phase 2, a genre-blending collection praised for its emotional depth and inventive songwriting. The album features fan favorites like “Good Days,” “Coffee Bar,” and “Falling Too.” THE RIDE: phase 2 is available now on all streaming platforms here.
