Ansel Brown Returns with Powerful New EP The Rise — Available Now!

Ansel Brown

A Journey of Resilience, Redemption, and Revival

(Nashville, Tennessee – October 17, 2025) – Country artist Ansel Brown has released his new EP, The Rise, which is now available on all major digital platforms (here).

The seven-track project builds on the momentum of Brown’s breakout single “The Whiskey Makes Her Miss Me,” which has surpassed 250,000 streams on Spotify and landed on the platform’s Country Hits 2025 playlist earlier this year, as well as his follow-up single “We Make America Run.” The milestone marked a triumphant reintroduction for Brown, whose story of perseverance and second chances continues to unfold through The Rise, the first of two EPs leading up to his new album Gravity, set for release this coming summer.

More than a collection of songs, The Rise tells the story of standing back up after life knocks you down. Each track carries a piece of Brown’s journey through struggle, heartbreak, and ultimately, healing. “The Rise is about defying gravity, chasing redemption, and reminding myself, and my fans, that it’s never too late to start again,” he says. “Every lyric and melody was born from those moments when you have to fight your way back toward the light.”

Produced by Cliff Downs, the EP blends Brown’s trademark grit and heart with cinematic storytelling and a timeless country sound. The Rise features a mix of blue-collar anthems, soul-baring ballads, and modern country rockers that showcase his unmistakable voice and emotional depth.

Track Listing – The Rise

1. “The Whiskey Makes Her Miss Me” (Liz Hengber, Rob Crosby, Jesse Labelle, Ian Flannigan)

2. “Gravity Hill” (Skip Black, Joe Leathers)

3. “We Make America Run” (Jim Collins, Matt Wynn, Wade Kirby)

4. “More Cowbell” (Joe Leathers, Skip Black, Catherine Lee Gravitt)

5. “Forevermore” (Eldridge Bravo, Caleb Lovely)

6. “Hold This Hurt” (Ansel Brown, Brent Bowers, Harrison Foreman)

7. “Where I Wanna Be” (Ansel Brown, Brent Bowers, David Poindexter)

Brown’s current single, “We Make America Run,” quickly resonated with fans as a blue-collar anthem celebrating the working-class heroes who keep the nation moving. Building on that momentum, The Rise continues the story, weaving pride, perseverance, and purpose into every line.

With a voice steeped in soul and a life story defined by resilience, Brown’s music reflects the depth of someone who’s lived through storms and found grace on the other side. Raised in a Navy family and born in Greenville, South Carolina, his early life was shaped by discipline, faith, and the healing power of music.

After first earning national attention in the mid-2000s with his breakout single “Mine’s Bigger,” and recognition from MusicRow and the CMA’s “Who’s New to Watch,” Brown’s rising career paused as he faced a series of personal and health challenges, including chronic A-Fib, divorce, and supporting his son through a difficult time. But even in the silence, the music never left him.

Beyond the stage, Brown is a true renaissance man: an inventor, creative entrepreneur, and philanthropist who’s written songs for NASA events, appeared in independent films, and partnered with youth, veterans, and faith-based organizations. Through it all, he’s remained driven by gratitude, family, and a belief in second chances.

With The Rise, Brown steps boldly into a new era, one marked by authenticity, purpose, and revival. His story will continue to unfold throughout 2026.
