(Nashville, Tennessee — February 17, 2026) — Nashville musicians are invited to step inside 8th Avenue Guitar Works, a new creative and collaborative hub from MIRC, LLC (Musical Instrument Reclamation Company), opening this Friday (Feb. 20) at 2101 8th Avenue South.
For more than three decades, MIRC has built a reputation for scale, trust, and professionalism in the secondary and refurbished guitar market. Refurbishing more than 30,000 guitars each year from over 100 brands, the company has long served as a sustainability partner in the industry, keeping thousands of instruments out of landfills and in the hands of players.
The musician community is already familiar with Franklin Guitar Works, MIRC’s national retail and online storefront offering refurbished guitars and manufacturer-sourced parts. 8th Avenue Guitar Works will bring that same expertise and inventory to its hands-on Nashville space, designed for everyone from the guitar-curious to the modification-obsessed.
The shop allows musicians to see, feel, and hear what sets a thoughtfully refurbished instrument apart. For the first time, players can compare necks, bridges, pickups, and specialty parts in person, make informed decisions for mod projects and custom builds, and test guitars that have been restored and sourced directly from manufacturers.
Every guitar on the floor reflects the craft, precision, and attention MIRC’s highly trained technicians put into each instrument. With a unique selection arriving daily, the inventory is constantly evolving, ensuring there’s always something new to discover.
The technicians work on-site, giving visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the company’s refined refurbishment process. Each technician completes an intensive apprenticeship program and is also a musician, bringing both technical expertise and player perspective to every instrument.
“Every guitar and every part, even when they’re technically the same, can feel and sound completely different,” notes the MIRC team. “8th Avenue Guitar Works exists so musicians can experience that difference firsthand.”
Unlike traditional retail environments focused on quick transactions, 8th Avenue Guitar Works is centered on community. Guests are invited to grab a coffee, stay awhile, and connect with fellow musicians, collectors, and builders.
MIRC continues to scale its repair and resale operations to handle tens of thousands of instruments annually without compromising quality or care. Without a refurbishment partner manufacturers can trust, broken, damaged, and overstock instruments often end up destroyed or discarded. The company provides a sustainable alternative, restoring guitars and returning them to the music community where they belong.
