(NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Sept. 4, 2026) Acclaimed attorney, songwriter and philanthropist David Worby today releases “Hope,” featuring The Bennett Hall Band, the first single from his forthcoming collaborative EP, Worby & Friends

Arriving alongside the new single is the reveal of the project’s complete artist lineup, with Matt WynnBreaking EightHunter JordanAva PaigeAlyssa Trahan and The Bennett Hall Band each lending their voices to songs written by Worby and a range of collaborators.

The Worby & Friends lineup includes:

The Bennett Hall Band — “Hope”

Matt Wynn — “Hard Hats”

Breaking Eight — “Living Large In A Small Town”

Hunter Jordan — “What’s One More”

Ava Paige — “Your Love Goes On”

Alyssa Trahan — “Play You Again”

Trahan holds a particularly meaningful place within the project. In addition to performing “Play You Again,” she is a frequent songwriting collaborator of Worby and has co-written many of the songs in his catalog, making her involvement an extension of a creative partnership that has helped shape his music behind the scenes.

For decades, Worby has dedicated his life to helping others. Whether advocating for thousands of Ground Zero rescue and recovery workers, championing educational initiatives, supporting the arts or quietly investing in organizations that strengthen communities, Worby’s career has been defined by a single purpose: using his talents to create meaningful change.

With Worby & Friends, he is bringing that same spirit of service to music.

Rooted in themes of hope, perseverance, family, resilience and the enduring power of community, the project marks the first time Worby has stepped forward to share his songwriting through a release bearing his own name. Music has long served as a creative outlet throughout his life and career, and Worby & Friends brings together a group of artists to interpret songs and stories that reflect the values that have shaped both his life and work.

“I’ve spent much of my life working behind the scenes, whether in the courtroom or the songwriting room,” says Worby. “This project is different. It’s an opportunity to bring together talented artists, tell meaningful stories, and hopefully encourage people while giving something back.”

Serving as songwriter and co-executive producer alongside Michael August, Worby brings his original music to life on Worby & Friends. Produced by Simon Reid, the project pairs Worby’s songwriting with a diverse group of artists, each bringing their own voice and perspective to the songs.

Today’s release, “Hope,” provides a fitting introduction to the project. Performed by The Bennett Hall Band and written by Worby, Trahan and Mark Narmore, the song reflects the larger spirit behind Worby & Friends and its focus on finding strength, connection and encouragement even in life’s most difficult moments.

Though best known professionally as one of New York’s most accomplished trial attorneys, Worby’s creative roots have always run deep. Raised in a blue-collar family, Worby worked as a truck driver at Newark Airport for years while helping put himself through school, an experience that shaped his lifelong respect for hard work, perseverance and the everyday people whose stories have inspired his songwriting.

As a songwriter, he has earned more than 25 cuts in country music, drawn to a genre that reflects many of the same values that have shaped his life’s work—authenticity, faith, resilience, patriotism, family and hope. Those themes are woven throughout Worby & Friends.

For Worby, however, the music is only part of the story.

Throughout his career, he has become widely recognized for landmark advocacy on behalf of more than 10,000 Ground Zero rescue and recovery workers exposed to toxic conditions following the Sept. 11 attacks. His legal efforts helped secure nearly $1 billion in recoveries for affected workers and their families and contributed to the passage of the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act, which created lasting healthcare protections for first responders.

His commitment to serving others extends far beyond the courtroom. Worby has been a longtime supporter of arts organizations, educational institutions, literacy initiatives, healthcare programs, youth development and community organizations, believing that lasting impact comes from investing in people and creating opportunities for future generations.

That philosophy serves as the heartbeat of Worby & Friends.

Rather than simply creating an album, Worby envisioned a collaborative project that brings together exceptional artists around songs with a shared message of encouragement and connection. The music will be available to download, and each time a song from Worby & Friends is played, Worby will personally donate a dollar, with a total commitment of up to $100,000—$50,000 each to the Gary Sinise Foundation and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. The Gary Sinise Foundation serves America’s veterans, first responders, and their families through programs supporting wounded veterans, military families and those who have sacrificed in service to our country. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation honors the legacy of Sept. 11 by providing mortgage-free homes to catastrophically injured veterans and first responders, supporting the families of fallen heroes, and assisting first responders facing 9/11-related and other service-connected health challenges.

Following today’s release of “Hope,” Worby & Friends will continue its rollout with a double-single release on Sept. 18, followed by the remaining music and full EP release in October.

Additional details surrounding the Sept. 18 releases and October EP release will be announced soon.
