(NASHVILLE, Tenn. — September 25, 2026) — Minneola has released its debut album, American Rapture, available now across streaming platforms. Working between Nashville and Austin, the trio of vocalist Chelsea Blankinship, guitarist and vocalist Ryan West, and drummer Tom Coleman blends cinematic folk, vintage country, and psychedelic rock on a 12-song record about growing up amid uncertainty and searching for connection.
For Minneola, American Rapture begins with a question: What does “rapture” mean in modern America? The title evokes both overwhelming joy and the biblical idea of judgment, endings, and rebirth. Across the album, the band uses that tension to explore loneliness, faith, womanhood, work, and the realization that adulthood may look different from the life once imagined.
“Give It Time” addresses the fear of falling behind as friends reach life milestones, while “Baker Field” looks back on childhood and “Day After Day” captures the exhaustion of working to stay afloat. Songs including “Sideways,” “Echo in the Heavens,” “Pontiac Promises,” and “Roll the Dice” find humor, love, and moments of hope within that uncertainty.
The title track draws on the image of being burned at the stake to examine the judgment women face when they refuse to meet others’ expectations, particularly in spaces long dominated by men. Throughout the record, biblical imagery serves as metaphor, with heaven and hell reflecting emotional experiences as much as destinations.
The album’s sound and visuals draw on the language of the 1970s, evoking a sense of music as community and human connection in an increasingly digital world. Rather than offering easy answers, American Rapture makes room for joy and hardship to coexist.
