Statler Brothers Tributes and Gospel Collection Now Available
(Nashville, TN – March 31, 2010) Nashville-based digital label, GMV Nashville, has added three new, hard-to-find Country and Gospel titles to its online catalog from renowned arranger/conductor/producer Bill Walker.
The Walker titles include two orchestral Statler Brothers tributes (The Hits of the Statler Brothers and A Gospel Salute to the Statler Brothers) and a collection of Gospel standards, titled Reach For The Hand, featuring Walker’s wife, Jeanine.
Walker produced, arranged and conducted all songs on Reach For The Hand, while Jeanine contributed vocals to the project. Included in the collection are songs such as “Reach For the Hand of the Lord,” “Beneath the Cross of Jesus” and “Glory to His Name.”
Originally released in 1996, both Statler Brothers albums feature arrangements done by Walker and performed by the Bill Walker Orchestra. The Hits of the Statler Brothers features orchestral renditions of some of the quartet’s biggest hits, including “Flowers on the Wall,” “Bed of Roses” and “Do You Know You Are My Sunshine?”
The group’s affinity for sacred music is showcased on A Gospel Salute to the Statler Brothers, which focuses on the group’s Gospel roots. Included are standards such as “The Old Rugged Cross,” “Farther Along” and “What A Friend We Have In Jesus.” Jeanine Walker produced both Statler Brothers collections.
Reach For The Hand, The Hits of the Statler Brothers and A Gospel Salute to the Statler Brothers are currently available for purchase at www.GMVNashville.com and digital platforms, including iTunes and Amazon.com worldwide.
The GMV Nashville label continues to expand its digital catalog, featuring classic Country singers like Dale McBride and Jan Howard, legendary artists including Charlie Daniels and Toy Caldwell, and contemporary collections such as the three-disc This Is My America set, featuring Dolly Parton, Billy Dean, Kathy Mattea and more.
