30-minute episodes hosted by acclaimed Texas singer-songwriter, filmmaker and author Stacy Dean Campbell
Each 30-minute episode of “Bronco Roads” includes three distinct segments: Rediscover, Venture Out and R&R. The Rediscover segment takes the viewer through historical reenactments and archival photos, telling the unique story of each destination. The Venture Out segment explores filmmaking, music and outdoor treks such as fly-fishing, while R&R highlights the local flavors of cuisine, lodging and entertainment.
“Steinbeck wrote in Travels with Charley that he didn’t really know his own country and that struck a chord with me,” says host Stacy Dean Campbell. “I don’t really know it either, and it’s a great country, so I thought I’d try and rediscover some of it for myself. I love everything about the American West, so it seemed like a great place to start the journey.”
Season 1 destinations include Lukenbach, Texas, Carlsbad Caverns in Carlsbad, N.M., the border town of Tombstone, Ariz., and the legendary Alamo Village film set near Del Rio, Texas.
Dallas-based film and television production company 41 Entertainment (a subsidiary of Texas media group London Broadcasting Company) produces “Bronco Roads” and the Texas docu-reality singer-songwriter series, “Troubadour, TX,” in which Campbell is featured as series narrator.
