(Nashville, Tennessee – August 1, 2025) Singer-songwriter Ana Cristina Cash has released her new single, “Daybreak,” along with its Spanish-language counterpart, “Un Break”, both available now (“Daybreak” here | “Un Break” here).
Recorded at the iconic Cash Cabin and co-produced by John Carter Cash and Willie Breeding, the track was written by Ana alongside Breeding and Gabriella Scotto. “Daybreak” blends breezy, beach-inspired rhythms with Southern charm, offering a laid-back anthem that encourages listeners to slow down and embrace life’s simpler pleasures.
Featuring the soulful harmonica of legendary multi-instrumentalist and Opry Member, Charlie McCoy, “Daybreak” offers a laid-back, warm sound full of gentle melodies and inviting rhythms. In addition to the English-language track, Ana Cristina will be offering a Spanish counterpart titled “Un Break” (Daybreak Versión En Español), broadening the song’s reach and cultural resonance. For the song’s Spanish adaptation, the Spanish lyrics were written by Ana Cristina Cash and Jodi Marr.
“I had an amazing time writing ‘Daybreak’ with Willie Breeding and Gabriella Scotto. It happened to be the same week Jimmy Buffett passed away, and I felt inspired to create something that captured his carefree, sun-soaked spirit. Jodi Marr and I wrote the Spanish-language adaptation of the song, and we were intentional with every line, making sure it resonated authentically in Spanish. Jodi and I both grew up in Miami and have known each other for over 20 years, so collaborating on this was really special. Having Charlie McCoy bring his signature harmonica sound and Paul Franklin on pedal steel truly made it a dream come true.”
“Daybreak” / “Un Break” (Daybreak Versión En Español) is the follow-up to her most recent summer single, “Cheap Margaritas.” Both tracks will be featured on her upcoming bilingual Country-Pop and Latin EP, The Sunshine State Vol. 1, slated for release in early 2026.
