A lively and heartfelt anthem, “Florida Girl” is a nostalgic yet empowering tribute to Ana Cristina Cash’s Miami upbringing and the colorful mix of cultures that shaped her. With breezy rhythms, sun-soaked melodies, and vivid imagery of orange groves, family memories, and summer days, the song balances childhood innocence with the resilience of growing up. At its heart, it’s an anthem of self-acceptance and pride in one’s roots, celebrating the unshakable spirit of a true Florida girl.

“This song is one of the most autobiographical ones that I have written for my upcoming EP. I wanted to paint a visual image of a time of innocence in my childhood and a nostalgia for all Floridian things with the lyrics. It references many of my feelings growing up, including a line about how my grandma and I always used to wait outside the porch of her house for the ice cream truck,” shares Ana Cristina. “Growing up in Miami with Cuban roots and having a deep love and respect for Country Music made me who I am today.  ‘Florida Girl’ is about embracing all the vibrant, diverse, and joyful parts of that experience.”

“Florida Girl” follows Ana Cristina’s recent “Daybreak” / “Un Break (Daybreak Versión En Español),” which showcased her ability to bridge languages and genres seamlessly. Both tracks will appear on her upcoming bilingual Country-Pop and Latin EP, The Sunshine State Vol. 1, slated for release in early 2026.

“Florida Girl” was mixed by Trey Call at the Cash Cabin Studio in Hendersonville, TN, and mastered by Alex McCollough at True East Mastering. The visualizer for the song was directed by Joseph Cash and was shot at The Nashville link House in East Nashville.

About Ana Cristina Cash: Ana Cristina Cash was raised in Miami, Florida. Ana, of Cuban descent, is bilingual and began a professional career in music at the tender age of six. She quickly became an accomplished champion of the singing competitions on the variety show, “Sabado Gigante.” Ana’s recordings showcase her broad vocal range, from a deep resonating contralto to an amazing soaring soprano, revealing what is known to some as a “whistle register.” Ana signed to Sony Music’s Latin division at the age of 15 and recorded her debut album, Ana Cristina, in the Spanish language. In 2004, she was nominated for the Premio Lo Nuestro Award. The next year, she went on to become the first Hispanic-American to perform the “Star-Spangled Banner” for a presidential inauguration for President Bush in 2005. Ana Cristina graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and from Harvard University with a Master’s degree in Creative Writing and Literature. Ana recently signed a global publishing deal with BMG Rights Management, which will administer both her English and Spanish language compositions.

In 2016, Ana married music producer John Carter Cash and has been living and recording music in Nashville for a decade, primarily in their historical studio, The Cash Cabin Studio, in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Ana’s music beautifully blends her deep connection to Country music with Latin influences, creating a soulful sound that is uniquely her own. She made her Grand Ole Opry debut in 2019, performing her own original songs. Other notable appearances Ana has made include performing at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Madison Square Garden, and various other major sporting events.
