Scheduled to perform at Autism Sings! benefit concert, Oct. 1
(Nashville, Tenn. – September 19, 2013) Country artist Austin Webb is joining forces with Autism Speaks™ to show his support in the fight against autism, something that has been important to him since he was a kid. Webb will perform at the Autism Sings! benefit concert on October 1 in Nashville, Tennessee at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, along with seven other performing artists.
“One of my many jobs growing up was doing carpet cleaning. I was sent out to clean the carpet of this one house… and that is where I had my first encounter with an autistic child,” said Webb. “I never felt she was ill, I just felt she was special and misunderstood. From that day on I wanted to help autistic children.”
Getting his chance to fulfill his want to help, Webb and other artists in both the Country and Christian genres will perform in the upstairs room at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville in Nashville on October 1 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. with music starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person or $30 per couple and are available for purchase here.
