Austin Webb, and other celebrities, team up with the Tug McGraw Foundation to help military service members
(Nashville, Tenn. – June 10, 2013) Austin Webb, among a star-studded list of participants, joined the Tug McGraw Foundation’s 2nd annual “Celebrity Sporting Clay Pro-Am” on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the Nashville Gun Club to raise money for military service members who suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
“When I was approached about this opportunity, I immediately knew that I wanted to participate. Teaming up with the other artists to compete in such a fun sport in support of this great cause was by far one of the highlights of my week,” said Webb.
The event raised approximately $50,000 in proceeds for the Tug McGraw Foundation and its efforts to help the military men and women who have been affected by PTSD and TBI.
The Tug McGraw Celebrity Sporting Clay Pro-Am is a competition between teams consisting of four amateurs, one professional, and a music celebrity. Unlike trap or skeet, which are games of repeatable target presentations, sporting clay competitions simulate the unpredictability of live-quarry, offering a greater variety of trajectories, angles, speeds, elevations, distances, and target sizes.
