(Nashville, TN – Aug 6, 2009) Legendary Country duo, The Bellamy Brothers, have released a career-spanning collection titled The Anthology, Volume 1, at iTunes and through their website at www.BellamyBrothers.com.
The single-disc set, produced by brothers Howard and David and released on Bellamy Brothers Records, is a collection of songs spanning their 35-year career. Thirteen No. 1’s are featured on the 20-track set, including “Let Your Love Flow,” “Old Hippie,” “If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body (Would You Hold it Against Me),” “Kids of the Baby Boom” and “For all the Wrong Reasons,” among others. A handful of new songs are also featured, including the Bellamy Brothers’ new single with The Bacon Brothers, “Guilty of the Crime.”
“We’re very excited to be releasing this anthology series, because it’s the perfect combination of hits, duets and new material,” says David Bellamy. “We’re also looking forward to publishing our book and releasing Anthology 2 next year for our 35th anniversary. Some days it seems like just yesterday when ‘Let Your Love Flow’ hit big, and some days it seems like a hundred years ago.”
The Anthology, Volume 1 spans a remarkable career that has produced 14 No. 1 hits, international tours in 65 different countries, and commercial success for the duo on both the Country and Pop charts. A second volume in the Anthology series is due for release next year, as well as a biography on the Bellamy Brothers’ career. Volume 1 is currently available at iTunes, www.BellamyBrothers.com and most online digital retailers. The physical album will be released in stores on Sept. 29.
“Guilty of the Crime” has already received video airplay on CMT Pure, GAC and is being featured worldwide on CMT.com. The video was shot inside an actual prison in Memphis, Tenn. with both the Bacon and Bellamy brothers and former “Beverly Hills 90210” actress Shannen Doherty.
The Bellamy Brothers are currently on tour through the end of 2009. Visit www.BellamyBrothers.com for more information.
