BIZZ BIGSBY ANNOUNCES WITTY NEW SINGLE “THIRTY MINUTES” – OUT AUGUST 15

Bizz Bigzby

A Humorous, Cautionary Tale About Leaving Before It’s Too Late

(Nashville, Tennessee – August 15, 2025) — After delivering the heartfelt debut “Here In This Town,” Nashville native Bizz Bigsby pivots to a more playful, tongue-in-cheek side with his second release, “Thirty Minutes,” out today. Written by Bizz’s longtime collaborator Phil Hughley, the track blends vintage soul and a cautionary tale wrapped in humor, heart, and a wink of regret.

“Thirty Minutes” unfolds in a series of escalating scenes, from late-night parties and rooftop chaos to corporate happy hours gone sideways. Werewolves lurk in corners, snakes slither across the floor, and a voice in the back of your head whispers, “Get out before the devil walks through the door.”

“This song is about staying until thirty minutes before the devil walks through the door,” says Bigsby. “It describes my life when I didn’t know how to leave. One of my problems growing up, when I was having fun, was that I never knew when to stop; I never had any boundaries. Gtar Phil wrote this and it hit so close to home, he just gave it to me.”

Drawing from his own journey of recovery and redemption, Bigsby channels a life hard-lived into a track that feels both raw and knowing. His blend of country, blues, soul, and rock, dubbed “Urban Americana,” continues to resonate with fans looking for real stories told with grit, groove, and heart. “Thirty Minutes” is the next chapter in a series of releases leading up to Bigsby’s full-length album, due September 19, 2025.

Born Wendell Bigsby in North Nashville and raised by his grandmother and great-aunts, Bizz’s life has been shaped by personal tragedy, addiction, and ultimately, transformation. His musical roots run deep: his father, legendary R&B performer Jimmy Church, brought a young Bizz on the road, where he opened for James Brown, Aretha Franklin, and Little Richard. These early experiences, paired with Bigsby’s street-smart wisdom and raw emotional honesty, shaped him into the powerhouse performer and songwriter he is today.
