A Raw, Gritty, and Soul-Soaked Chronicle of Life, Loss, and Redemption
Here In This Town – Album Cover Art
(Nashville, Tennessee – October 23, 2025) — Nashville native and genre-bending artist Bizz Bigsby has released his highly anticipated debut full-length album, Here In This Town. The 12-track collection, available here, showcases Bigsby’s signature blend of country, blues, soul, and rock – dubbed “Urban Americana” – and reflects the raw honesty, grit, and groove that have defined his path as both an artist and a survivor.
Following the release of “Here In This Town,” the tongue-in-cheek “Thirty Minutes,” and the raw, vulnerable “You Don’t Love Me,” the album offers a sweeping portrait of Bigsby’s life, spanning childhood memories, years lost to addiction, and the hard-won clarity of recovery and redemption.
“There are a dozen songs on the album, and it really takes you on a journey through my life,” says Bigsby. “The album begins with ‘Step,’ originally written for my son and recorded for the album with my grandsons. From there, it goes back in time as I reflect on the journey I’ve been through. There are songs inspired by my childhood (‘Here In This Town,’ ‘Wrong Thing the Right Way,’ ‘Always Make A Way’), songs about the years when I was using (‘Thirty Minutes,’ ‘Jail,’ ‘Walk A Mile’), and the years of recovery (‘You Don’t Love Me Like You Say You Do,’ ‘I Just Wanna’) as well as tracks that ultimately represent a place of greater peace (‘A Place In This World,’ ‘Beautiful’). It’s raw, honest, and truthful albumabout redemption, perseverance, and faith.”
Musically, the project is just as expansive. “There are funky songs, Marvin Gaye-type songs, and slow James Taylor-esque songs,” he adds. “My spoken voice is also used throughout the album, a reflection of the way the live show has developed, linking story and song. In some ways, the album is almost like the soundtrack to the show.”
Produced by Bigsby’s longtime collaborator Phil Hughley alongside Grammy Award-winner Tommy Sims, with Harriet Warner serving as executive producer, Here In This Town features contributions from some of Nashville’s most respected players and creatives. Together, they capture both the raw immediacy of Bigsby’s live presence and the nuanced storytelling that has earned him acclaim.
