(Nashville, TN –- Feb. 4, 2013) Independent label, Blue Hat Records, has announced a distribution agreement for The Charlie Daniels Band through RED Distribution and MRI Associated Labels, Inc.
The agreement is a co-venture between Blue Hat Records and MRI, with RED handling all distribution duties for The Charlie Daniels Band product.
“In our 16-year history of continued growth, Charlie and I are very excited to have the opportunity to expand our musical reach with new distribution partners RED,” says Blue Hat Records president and personal manager for Charlie Daniels, David Corlew. “I believe that Dewayne and his staff at RED share a common mission, to create and spread music for all the right reasons. We are honored to share our journey with the new team.”
The Charlie Daniels Band’s first release for RED, titled Hits of the South, is scheduled for release February 19, 2013.
Formed in 1972, The Charlie Daniels Band has been entertaining crowds for more than 40 years. On the new cd release, the CDB pays tribute to their musical heritage with Southern Rock favorites like, “Freebird,” “Long Haired Country Boy” and “Can’t You See”. The CDB was there during the beginning of the Southern Rock movement and continues to rock audiences across the country on tour each year.

RED Distribution is an independent record distributor and artist development company owned by Sony Music Entertainment. RED currently handles distribution duties for more than 50 independent and major record labels, including MRI.
