Feature Track from East Album “Spend A Little Time With You” – Out Now!

(Nashville, Tenn. – March 24, 2023) Multi-CCMA award-winning country singer Brett Kissel is about to unveil his next album from his biggest project to date, “The Compass Project,” East Album, due out on April 28, 2023.

The forthcoming album, East Album, spotlights Kissel’s laidback side as it will contain mainly acoustic tracks. Kissel spoke about the upcoming release, saying, “‘East Album’ is a collection of songs that reflect a more stripped-down, heartfelt side of me. It’s inspired by the ocean and my love for both coasts – the Atlantic and Pacific.”

To give fans a taste of what to expect from this album, Kissel has dropped an advance track, “Spend A Little Time With You.” The song is a slowed, acoustic song with Kissel singing about wanting to spend some quality time with his lover, as it feels like “a thousand years” since they’ve been together. It showcases Kissel’s raw vocals with soft guitar notes and gentle vibratos. “Spend A Little Time With You” is available here and East Album is now available for pre-save here.

Kissel also spoke on the new feature track “Spend A Little Time With You,” saying “We live our lives so fast and so busy. It’s wild, really. ‘Spend A Little Time With You’ is about gearing down, shutting off the rest of the world – the noise, if you will – and being in the moment with the ones that mean the most to you. It’s like the perfect Sunday morning, fall-stroll, or night in with just the two of you, soaking in nothing but each other. It’s a love song, a nod to the beauty in simplicity, and the notion of making the most of our time together.”

Each album a part of “The Compass Project” provides an inside look at the different parts of Kissel’s personality. The first album, South Album, which was released on January 27, 2023, gave fans catchy, upbeat tracks. Brett’s current single from the album, “Never Have I Ever,” has reached over six million global streams to date and was the most added single at Canadian Country Radio in its first week of availability. Stream “Never Have I Ever” and South Album here.

The next two albums, West Album and North Album, will be dropping in the late summer and fall, respectively. Fans can also expect feature tracks to be released prior to both albums release, as it will give them a taste of what is to come from each.

In 2020, when the world hit pause due to the pandemic, Brett Kissel hit the gas pedal with a stream of songs that gained major attention. The multi-platinum artist has won 24 CCMA awards and three JUNO awards (equivalent to the American Grammy). Kissel has toured with Brad Paisley and Garth Brooks as well as collaborated with Grammy winners Charley Pride, Dave Mustaine, Nelly, and 98°.

“I hope that throughout the year 2023, my fans – old and new – get a 365-degree view of me, my life, and my music. I can’t wait to embark on the journey with them.”

Brett will be performing on the Grand Ole Opry stage on April 14, 2023. Tickets are available now here.
