(Nashville, Tenn. – Feb. 3, 2016) – Country music artist and popular YouTube personality, Buddy Brown, is gearing up to release a new EP, Hurricane Stomp, on Feb. 26, 2016. Produced by Dave Bechtel and recorded at Ocean Way Studios in Nashville, Hurricane Stomp is a 5-song collection that throws some punches and invites you into compelling story lines. The album will be available on iTunes and through digital retailers.
Brown comments on the forthcoming release saying, “By starting my music career on the internet and managing all my own pages, I’ve been able to connect with my fans and make more music that they want to hear. A lot of my fans tell me they don’t listen to mainstream country songs anymore, that the music doesn’t apply to their lives. Through talking with my fans and living my own life I’m making music that I’d want to hear, music that actually says something.”
Buddy has never been one to “play it safe.” At the age of 15, his parents kicked him out of the house and sent him to one of the most rigorous military schools in the U.S. – Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, VA. “It tested me to the limit mentally and physically and gave me that necessary endurance that music requires of me now.”
In 2009, Brown turned to YouTube where he started regularly posting videos showcasing his music, charm and humor. He quickly established a solid fan base on the social platform and was quickly discovered and recognized by USA Today, who noted him as being a YouTube sensation. He currently has over 225,000 followers on his Facebook, 46K subscribers on his YouTube channel and his videos have registered over 7 million in views.
According to Buddy Brown, “I wanted to make music that I want to hear while driving in my truck, songs that I can’t wait to listen to again. I’m just not hearing enough of those songs on the radio right now so I had to make my own.” He proudly calls himself the true outdoorsman and he gets most of his inspiration from being in the woods and the folklore that his heroes have passed down. Buddy isn’t afraid of who he is and what he believes in and that all comes across in his music.
Booked by CAA Nashville, Brown is a seasoned performer and has already opened up for popular acts, including Justin Moore, Jon Pardi and Brothers Osbourne on the College Town Throwdown tour. He’s also headlined several shows throughout the state of Texas. In addition, he has performed two shows surrounding NASCAR races at Talladega Speedway in front of over 20,000 people.
Hurricane Stomp marks Brown’s sixth EP release to iTunes. His previous release, Keepin’ It Country, debuted at #12 on the iTunes Country Chart in 2014.
Fans can purchase the EP Hurricane Stomp on iTunes starting Feb. 26. For more information on Buddy Brown, visit his official website at www.buddybrowncountry.com, and follow him on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Click here to subscribe to Buddy Brown’s YouTube channel.
