(Nashville, Tenn. – March 1, 2016) – Country music artist and popular YouTube personality, Buddy Brown, released his new EP, Hurricane Stomp, this past Friday, Feb. 26. The EP is now available on iTunes, Amazon and other major digital retailers.
Produced by Dave Bechtel and recorded at Ocean Way Studios in Nashville, Hurricane Stomp is a 5-song collection that throws some punches and invites listeners into compelling story lines. According to Brown, the EP tells stories with a traditional Country folklore style. “I just try to be real, and I don’t worry about political correctness or any of that stuff,” he says.
On it’s day of release, Hurricane Stomp peaked at No. 16 on iTunes’ top Country albums. The EP was also featured on the “New Artist Spotlight” page on iTunes.
Most recently, the Orlando Sentinel wrote a feature on Brown, stating, “Brown writes music with traditional home-grown lyrics blended with an upbeat style. His songwriting is inspired by old-school musicians such as Apopka’s own John Anderson and younger singers like Justin Moore.” The full article can be viewed here.
In 2009, Brown turned to YouTube where he started regularly posting videos showcasing his music, charm and humor. He quickly established a solid fan base on the social platform and was quickly discovered and recognized by USA Today, who noted him as being a YouTube sensation. He currently has over 226,000 followers on his Facebook; 46,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel and his videos have registered over 7 million in views.
Brown is a seasoned performer and has already opened up for popular acts, including Justin Moore, Jon Pardi and Brothers Osborne on the “College Town Throw Down” tour. He’s also headlined several shows throughout the state of Texas. In addition, he’s performed two shows surrounding NASCAR races at Talladega Speedway in front of over 20,000 people.
