(Nashville, Tenn. – May 26, 2015) – Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning multi-platinum artist Ty Herndon has announced the addition of Chris Carmack, Deborah Allen and Antigone Rising to the lineup of the inaugural Concert for Love and Acceptance. The event, presented by Herndon and GLAAD, will feature artists and celebrities appearing in support of at-risk youth in the Nashville community and will take place at City Winery (609 Lafayette St.) in Nashville, Tenn.
Accomplished actor and singer Chris Carmack is best known for his role as charming “Will Lexington” on ABC’s critically-acclaimed, Golden Globe, Primetime Emmy, People’s Choice and Critics’ Choice Television Award-nominated series “Nashville.” Carmack is featured on THE MUSIC OF NASHVILLE soundtracks and was a featured performer on the 2014 and 2015 NASHVILLE tours.
Award-winning singer, songwriter, producer and Grammy-nominated recording artist Deborah Allen is known as one of the music industry’s most diverse and dynamic talents. With more than 1,600 published songs, including her own hits like “Baby I Lied,” “Rock Me” and “I’ve Been Wrong Before,” Allen has written songs recorded by an impressive list of artists, including LeAnn Rimes, Tanya Tucker, Patty Loveless, Brooks & Dunn, Janie Fricke, Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, Sheena Easton, Diana Ross, Issac Hayes and Fleetwood Mac, among others.
Female alt-country rock band, Antigone Rising, plays upwards of 280 shows a year. They are best known for their relentless touring and masterful musicianship and have shared the stage with acts like The Rolling Stones, Rob Thomas, Aerosmith, The Bangles and more.
The first-of-its-kind country music event, which will take place during CMA Fest, will be co-hosted by Herndon and political commentator and author Meghan McCain. Performers and special guests previously announced include Desmond Child, Melinda Doolittle, Shelly Fairchild, Crystal Gayle, Billy Gilman, Jennifer Knapp, Jamie O’Neal, and Pastor Stan Mitchell of GracePointe Church. Additional performances and appearances will be announced.
