Teen Run Charity Out To Change The World, Starting With Their Community
(Nashville, Tenn. – August 16, 2013) Country artist Katie Armiger recently performed in Minneapolis, MN for the teen run Hearts4Charity, to help raise money for their community outreach cause. Founded in 2004 by Amanda Sexson, Hearts4Charity currently has 30 teenagers and countless volunteers, whom have raised over $50,000 for various charities since its inception. Sources of fundraising have included local car washes, crafting and selling peppermint bark tins and writing a children’s book. Not only did Armiger’s performance raise money for the charity, she also surprised the organization by donating additional funds. To those at Hearts4Charity, it is all about giving and changing lives.

About Heart4Charity: It all started in the heart of 6-year-old Amanda Sexson. After the devastation of 9/11, something sparked in her that drove her to help others. As the years progressed so did this drive. It went from a small 5th grader’s lemonade stand, to larger sales at the end of driveways, to car washes, to selling hundreds of tins of peppermint bark, to writing a children’s book, all just to make a difference in the lives of the needy. Although Hearts4Charity started as a small group of friends, it has now grown to be a large organization of 30 teens and countless volunteers all willing to help. We have raised over $50,000 for various charities and plan to make this impact even greater. Besides the willing, amazing, achieving volunteers, our team of teenagers involved in Hearts4Charity is strongly devoted to our work and we have impacted peoples’ lives dramatically. From the crafting of peppermint bark, to fundraising and volunteering for people in need, our Hearts4Charity team is always looking forward to give. With our wholesome faith and strong hearts, we make our community a better place to live. For more information visit www.Hearts4Charity.org and follow on Facebook.
