Country Radio Seminar’s 50th Anniversary Concludes, Special Moments Live On

Attendance Up 10% From Previous Year

(NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Feb. 19, 2019) – Country radio’s biggest event of the year, Country Radio Seminar (CRS) concluded on Friday, Feb. 15th in downtown Nashville, Tenn with a 10 percentincrease in attendance, compared to CRS 2018.  This year marked the 50th Anniversary of the conference and it was without a doubt one of the most memorable events in the history of the three-day seminar.

Many talked-about performances, panels, workshops, and breakfasts featuring some of the industry’s most knowledgeable, influential and inspiring leaders took place and many of the highly anticipated events returned, including Bob Kingsley’s Acoustic Alley, Team UMG at The Ryman, Big Machine Label Group’s Luncheon Show, the annual New Faces of Country Music® Show and Dinner, andAmazon Music Presents: “Country Heat”at CRS featuring the Radio Ink Best Country PD Awards. New events were also added including Warner Music Nashville’s Opening Day Luncheon and a special performance by six-time CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year, Garth Brooks where he recreated his history-making one-man show in an intimate concert setting at Bridgestone Arena exclusively for CRS 2019 badge holders. 

The event will return in 2020 as Country Radio Seminar has released the dates for the 3-day event, set for Feb. 19-21, 2020. Registration for next year’s event will open later this year.

Outgoing CRS/CRB Executive Director, Bill Mayne was recognized during this year’s New Faces of Country Music® Dinner and Show.  Through a surprise appearance by Keith Urban, Mayne was presented with a special honor by theAcademy of Country Music and St. Jude, who partnered to recognize Mayne for his years of service and the role he played in establishing the Academy of Country Music’s philanthropic arm, ACM Lifting Lives as well as St. Jude Country Cares.  Mayne served on the original Advisory Board for St. Jude and was instrumental in helping to make the program a nationwide initiative.  Pictured left to right are RJ Curtis (CRS/CRB Executive Director), Keith Urban, Teri Watson (Sr. Director of Radio & Entertainment Marketing at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital), Bill Mayne, Pete Fisher (CEO, Academy of Country Music).  Photo courtesy of Country Radio Seminar
