Creed Fisher – New Album, Whiskey and The Dog, Out Now! – Album Listen Link
(Nashville, Tenn.– Nov. 17, 2021) This past weekend, Creed Fisher was recognized at the Texas Country Music Awards as the Roots / Alternative Artist of the Year.
The awards were held on Nov. 14 at the World’s largest Honkey Tonk, Billy Bob’s, in Fort Worth, TX. Other finalists for the award included: Teague Brothers, Flatland Calvary, Jamie Lin Wilson, and Shaker Hymns. This event was sponsored by The Hotel Drover in the Fort Worth Stockyards and Stockyards Heritage and was presented by the Texas Country Music Association.
Fisher credits this award to the people that support him and his music every day – his fans. He exclaims, “We had the honor of receiving the Texas Country Music Awards for Roots / Alternative Artist of the Year! I say ‘We’ because that is what it is, fans. It’s our award! You made it possible. I’m just a good ol’ boy telling our story about our people and our way of life. Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, listened to a song, and shared the music with a friend. I’m truly grateful.”
This award comes on the heels of Fisher’s success this year. In 2021, he signed with Dirt Rock Empire and celebrated an album release, Whiskey and the Dog, which debuted at #4 on the iTunes Country chart and #17 out of all genres on the day of its release. He also experienced success on Texas Radio, received support on CMT for his music video “This Town,” and spent time on the road playing sold-out venues.
About Creed Fisher: With over 22 million combined streams on Spotify and 17 million+ views on YouTube with past releases, Creed Fisher is an artist who has created a fan base and following by authentically connecting with fans and playing real, rowdy country music. Currently, Fisher is on tour with his most recent album releases, Whiskey and the Dog and How Country Music Sounded Before It All Went to Shit, Vol. 1, and is experiencing success at Texas radio. With his last three albums debuting in the Top 5 on iTunes, Fisher hopes his newest album, Whiskey and the Dog, will continue to help him defy the odds. Like a steely-eyed gunslinger from a Sergio Leone western, he is a man of few words and lets his music tell his story. Fisher has never been one to sell his soul to trends. Keeping it real means writing songs that real people can relate to; the good, bad, and even the ugly. His previous singles, “Rock & Roll Man,” “Be the Hope,” “I’m Growing Older, But I’m Not Growing Up,” and “A Few Good Ol’ Cowboys” all hit Top 10, Top 25, or Top 30 on the Texas Charts. He was also named the BigStar97 Outlaw Country artist of the Year in 2018. Today, Fisher has upped the ante, joining forces with renegade record label Dirt Rock Empire for the release.
