Votes Submitted Before 11:30 a.m. CT on 11/18 Are Not Accounted For; Voters Asked To Re-Submit Their Picks TODAY!
(Nashville, Tenn. – November 18, 2014) – Following yesterday’s announcement regarding voting being open for the CRS 2015 New Faces of Country Music Show® lineup, a glitch was found within the voting system. The technical difficulty has resulted in votes placed before 11:30 a.m. CT on 11/18 to not be accounted for. Due to the error, the deadline to vote has been extended to Nov. 27 (one additional day) and Country radio station employees that processed a vote before this announcement was made are asked to return to www.CountryRadioSeminar.com to vote again.
“In batching the votes from yesterday for counting and verification, our site host identified a software glitch that rendered all votes invalid. To insure the integrity and fairness of the vote, we are extending the deadline by one day; we are contacting all qualified voters who attempted to vote already and are asking they re-vote their choices now. We appreciate our trusted partner, MCN Interactive, for quickly identifying and correcting the issue,” states Bill Mayne, Executive Director of Country Radio Broadcasters.
Any employee of a commercial, full-time Country formatted radio station may vote for the 2015 New Faces of Country Music Show performers. The five acts with the most votes will make up the lineup for the show.
As previously announced, this year’s performer nominees are: Frankie Ballard (Warner Bros./WAR), Danielle Bradbery (Republic/Big Machine), Chase Bryant (Red Bow), Dan+Shay (Warner Bros./WAR), Sam Hunt(MCA), Maddie & Tae (Dot), Scotty McCreery (19/Interscope/Mercury), Jon Pardi (Capitol), Parmalee (Stoney Creek), Eric Paslay (EMI), Chase Rice (Columbia), Cole Swindell (Warner Bros./WAR), and the Swon Brothers (Arista).
