(Nashville, Tennessee – February 20, 2024) Country Radio Seminar (CRS) is thrilled to announce the details surrounding the Programming Happy Hour and Workshop Alley, to be held during CRS 2024. These events are designed to provide inspiration, education, and networking opportunities for industry professionals.
Programming Happy Hour: The Programming Happy Hour, scheduled for Wednesday, February 28, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Omni Library, offers a unique networking opportunity. Confirmed attendees include Becky Brenner (Albright & O’Malley & Brenner), Tim Cotter (KDRK), Al Farb (KSCS), Heather Froglear (Audacy), Alek Halverson (iHeart), Kurt Johnson (Townsquare Media), Brent Michaels (Buck Owens Production Co. Inc.), Rod Phillips (iHeart), Nikki Thomas (Bristol Broadcasting), and Monta Vaden (SEVENS Radio Network), with more to be added.
Workshop Alley: New to CRS this year, Workshop Alley, taking place on Friday, March 1st, is dedicated to honing skills in three areas: Social Media, Imaging/Production, and Podcasting. Each session aims to provide practical advice and strategies for utilizing the latest trends. Highlights include discussions on social media videos, tips for engaging social media content, leveraging AI in imaging, and effective podcasting techniques. These workshops are planned to offer valuable insights for attendees.
- Social Track: The day kicks off with KUZZ’s Program Director Brent Michaels discussing “Social Media Videos” at 8:00 AM, followed by Krista Horton, influencer and entrepreneur, focusing on promotional strategies exploring “Your Social Hook” at 9:00 AM, and wraps up with Audacy on-air personality, Gabe Mercer presenting on “Monetizing Your Socials” at 11:00 AM.
- Imaging/Production Track: The journey begins with Bo Matthews, Alpha Media’s Operations Manager/Program Director KBAY/KEZR delving into the power of AI in imaging at 8:00 AM, followed by WUSY’s Imaging Director Cowboy Kyle revealing “Imaging Tips and Tricks” at 9:00 AM, and concludes with Albright & O’Malley & Brenner’s consulting partner Kenny Jay teaching about “Creating Effective Endorsement Spots” at 11:00 AM.
- Podcasting 101 Track: The track begins at 8:00 AM with Kevin Sokolnicki, producer of Today’s Country Radio with Kelleigh Bannen, The Kelleigh Bannen Show, and Songwriter Soup podcast, who will delve into podcast principles. This is followed by a session focusing on promotional strategies at 9:00 AM with Krista Hayes, BBR Music Group’s Manager, Group Strategy, Syndication & Secondary Promotion, and Executive Producer & Co-Creator “C’Mon Son!” The track concludes with exploring creative approaches at 11 AM with Mike “Mike D” Deestro of the Nashville Podcast Network and Executive Producer of The BobbyCast, 25 Whistles, and Too Much Access with Bobby Bones.
