Band was finalist in Kenny Chesney’s 2009 “Next Big Star” competition
(Nashville, Tenn. – Aug. 9, 2010) Country act Annabelle Road is set to perform an industry showcase at local Nashville venue 12th and Porter on Tuesday, Aug. 17, at 6 p.m.
The five-piece Country/Rock outfit from Detroit released their self-titled debut album in June, only 18 months after the group initially formed. Produced by Chuck Alkazian at Pearl Sound Studios in Canton, Mich., Annabelle Road’s first single, “Love At First Sight,” has been receiving significant airplay throughout Michigan and at Country radio.
“Annabelle Road’s unique vocals, stage presence, and their hit ‘Love at First Sight’ equal a hit act for Country radio! They’re lighting up phones!” says Program Director Tim Roberts of 99.5 WYCD in Detroit. “There’s definitely something going on in the Detroit market, and I’m thrilled that they are planning a showcase in Nashville.”
Comprised of lead vocalist Amanda Bailey, guitarist Jeremy Temple, fiddle player Mackenzie Lerchen, bassist Larry Craft and drummer Donovan Tarjeft, Annabelle Road has already shared stages with acts including Gretchen Wilson, Phil Vassar and Justin Moore in the band’s short career to date. In 2009, they advanced to a spot in the finals of Kenny Chesney’s “Next Big Star” competition.
Annabelle Road is currently in the middle of an extended tour that has the up-and-coming band playing more than 70 dates this summer, including shows with Dierks Bentley, John Rich and Clint Black.
The Annabelle Road showcase in Nashville is Tuesday, Aug. 17, at 6 p.m. at 12th and Porter.
