Proceeds are to be donated to K9 Hurricane’s Heroes and Georgia Police K9 Foundation
(Nashville, TN – June 6, 2022) Award-winning TV personality Katie Linendoll has released a new single, “Miss Mary Mack.” The new song, inspired by the popular children’s vintage hand-clapping game fuses a unique blend of banjos and 808s. The track is now available on streaming services worldwide here.
“Miss Mary Mack ” comes on the heels of her latest single, “Renaissance Lady,” which debuted on the Music Row chart earlier this year. Helping to bring the song to another level with their wordsmithing were songwriters Noah Needleman and Morgan Johnston, and producer Denny White who brought it a unique country-pop feel. Linendoll’s vocal producer, Dan Spencer, also played an integral part in the track’s production.
When speaking about the inspiration behind “Miss Mary Mack,” Linendoll exclaims, “The idea for this song came to me one day when my nieces were doing the vintage clapping game “Miss Mary Mack.” I was amazed it was still a thing. It is simply timeless and spanned generations. My lyrics to the song were inspired by the book of Judith in the Bible, where an Israeli heroine saved God’s people. Producer Denny White brought an exciting blend of Banjos & 808s for a country-pop fusion.”
Known for her tenured career as a TV personality with thousands of appearances on top national media outlets from Rachael Ray, to CBS Sports Radio, Sports Illustrated and The Weather Channel Linendoll says leaning into her tech-forward thinking for her songs will always be top of mind, which is evident with “Miss Mary Mack.” Linendoll, who runs her own production company, recently paired with acclaimed music video director Natalie Simmons to create a unique, high-tech music video for the single. This was the first music video to be filmed at Vū Nashville, touting a 123-foot wide LED wrap wall— one of the largest in the country. The music video will be released in the coming days.
Linendoll continues her support for K9 Hurricane’s Heroes and Georgia Police K9 Foundation by donating a portion of all song proceeds to these organizations. K9 Hurricane is a highly trained, highly decorated former Secret Service dog that stopped a White House intruder in 2014. His namesake non-profit provides retired law enforcement and military K9s with subsidized veterinary care to live a long and healthy life post-service. K-9 Mattis of TikTok fame plays a big part in the upcoming video for “Miss Mary Mack.”
