TELEVISION TUNE-IN ALERT:
Former Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots fullback Kevin Turner will appear on Fox Business Networks’ “Lou Dobbs Tonight” program this Friday, May 20, at 7 p.m. EDT. Turner is part of a panel that will discuss the mounting evidence linking the ALS disease with athletes who have suffered repetitive head trauma injuries, such as concussions, during their career.
Turner played eight seasons in the NFL in the ‘90s and suffered countless concussions during his football career. He was diagnosed with ALS in May 2010. Turner will also discuss his nonprofit organization, The Kevin Turner Foundation, which he founded to help fund ALS research and to raise awareness about the connection between concussions and ALS. Also appearing on the program is Dr.
Robert Cantu, co-founder of the Sports Legacy Institute in Boston, Mass.
