Campbell Turns Emotions into Lyrics

Nashville, TN – New York-born, South Carolina-raised songstress, Haley Mae Campbell has released her new EP, Lovers Lottery, which is now available on all streaming platforms and digital retailers.
The 6-song collection, which she co-produced and is a live band recording, features Campbell’s current single “Oughta Be” and previous iTunes Top 5 country pre-order single “Lose My Number.” It displays her youthful, exciting energy that has created a buzz on Music Row, while also reflecting her growth as an artist.
Lovers Lottery, which debuted in the Top 100 of the iTunes Country chart and was previously at #22 on the Pre-Order chart, has already garnered great excitement, due to the popularity of “Oughta Be,” which was released onMarch 23 and currently has in excess of 65,000 plays on Spotify. Additionally, “Lose My Number” has an astounding number of plays on Spotify at just over 341,000.
Campbell has written or co-written all songs on the EP and incorporates her past and present life experiences in her music. She likes to think of it as turning emotions into lyrics. “Having the opportunity to write or co-write every song on this EP is so special to me, and always has been, but the ability to co-produce this new music allowed me to create my ideal blend of country, rock, and pop influences. These songs tell the story of who I have become over the last two years, and I’m so excited to share them with the world,” she explains.
What sets Campbell apart from other young artists is that she takes the DIY approach, “I manage myself and I have built my fan base from the ground up on my own. I develop my own content, write my own music, I co-produced the EP and I am very hands-on with everything involving my music.”
Campbell, a multi-instrumentalist who includes guitar, violin, and piano among her talents, began performing on the streets of Charleston when she was only 13 years old. Her original music is a hybrid of city slicker sass and small-town sensibilities, mixing rock-style vocals with a country-style twang. She uses the words “honest, personal and shimmering” to describe it.

Campbell began crisscrossing the U.S. at a young age, going on tour with her band The Hardware the day after graduating from high school on their “Hugs & Disses Tour.” Since then, Campbell has opened for country stars including Luke Combs, Brothers Osborne, Dan + Shay, David Nail, Lauren Alaina, Love and Theft, Thompson Square and Tyler Farr as well as folk stars The Avett Brothers and sharing the stage at the 9th Annual First Flush Festival in her hometown of Charleston, SC with headliner Sheryl Crow.
