Industry Veterans Karen Clark and Brett Boyett Launch Independent Record Label, Fate Entertainment

FateEntertainment

(Nashville, Tenn. – March 9, 2021) – Industry veterans Brett Boyett and Karen Clark have announced the launch of Fate Entertainment, a multi-genre independent record label based in Nashville, Tenn. As a seasoned music publisher and intellectual property attorney, Clark will assume business development and legal affairs, while Boyett will fulfill A&R and production responsibilities. Distribution for the label is handled through Vydia.

Built from the foundation of artist development, Fate Entertainment encourages its artists to lean into and grow with their creativity. Fate brings a new approach to music, breaking through the entertainment industry’s stereotypical walls using cutting-edge technology for promotion, marketing, distribution, and artistry.

Boyett stated, “We are ready to put our stamp on the music industry with a creative approach to the typical entertainment business model by thinking outside of the box and by letting the music we create speak for itself.”

As the new label continues to develop artists and projects, Fate Entertainment currently represents Nashville-based trio Nashvillains and pop-rock singer Ariel Bellvalaire. Nashvillians is made up of songwriters and industry stars Troy Johnson, Scott Lindsey, and Brett Boyett, who formed the group after sharing the common concept of creating a Pink Floyd meets outlaw country, powerhouse group. Each member of the band has a long list of producer and writer credits with cuts by Keith Urban, Cassadee Pope, and The Bellamy Brothers, to name a few. Nashvillains plan to release their debut single in the coming months.

In a world dominated by pop music, Ariel stands out by adding her own punk-rock twist and, of course, her signature guitar solos to her original music. The LA-based pop-rock singer-songwriter combines her love of guitar solos with aerial techniques and gymnastics to perform what she calls “Shrednastics.”

Before the formation of Fate Entertainment, Clark was hailed as one of the top corporate lawyers in the country, spending over 30 years of her career with The Procter and Gamble Company, ultimately serving as Vice President of Global Legal and Global Business Services.  Clark’s late husband, Frank Larry,  followed his lifelong dream of working within the music industry, introducing Clark to the music business. Frank retired after many years of distinguished service at the U.S. Government, serving at the Federal Sentencing Commission and The Department of Homeland Security. He and Clark created the Nashville-based music publishing company A Million Midnights Music with Dan Truman of Diamond Rio, providing music to several prominent artists and TV and movies. Fate Entertainment was formed as a continuation of Frank Larry’s legacy as he left an impactful imprint on many within the Nashville music community as he conducted business with honesty and integrity, always with an attitude of service, and a charming sense of humor.

Over the years, Brett Boyett has developed a well-earned reputation as a composer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer with hundreds of credits in film, TV, and major recording artists. Most recently, Brett was the Executive Music Producer and Composer on the highly acclaimed feature film, “Forever My Girl,” released in 2018, where he worked with major recording artists like Travis Tritt, Lauren Alaina, Phillip Sweet (Little Big Town), and Mickey Guyton. Boyett recently formed and joined the Fate Entertainment trio Nashvillains with plans to release new music this year.
