Ana Cristina Cash was raised in Miami, Florida. Ana, of Cuban descent, is bi-lingual and began her professional career in music at the tender age of six. She quickly became an accomplished champion of the singing competitions on the variety show, “Sabado Gigante.” Ana Cristina’s recordings showcase her broad vocal range, from a deep resonating contralto to an amazing soaring soprano, revealing what is known to some as a “whistle register.” Ana signed to Sony Music’s Latin division at the age of 15 and worked with various Grammy award-winning producers for her debut album, Ana Cristina, in the Spanish language. She was nominated for a Premio Lo Nuestro Award in 2004 for Best New Artist and went on to be the first Hispanic American to perform the “Star-Spangled Banner” at a presidential inauguration for President Bush in 2005. In 2006, she performed at the White House for the President of the United States, the King of Spain, and several dignitaries in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. In 2015, Ana released her album, The West Coast Sessions, of which she wrote every single song for during the time she lived in Los Angeles and was produced by Chris Price. She has performed in notable venues such as Madison Square Garden, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and made her Grand Ole Opry debut performing her original songs in 2019. In April 2020, Ana released her most recent full-length album, Shine, which she took part in writing all of the songs except for two and was produced by John Carter Cash. “Shine” was critically acclaimed and gained praise from American Songwriter, Billboard, Entertainment Focus, and more. Ana Cristina recently co-wrote the translation of the Spanish version of Johnny Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues,” titled “La Prision de Folsom,” which topped the Billboard charts in 2019.
