(Nashville, Tenn. – June 3, 2015) – CEO and President of Judy Seale International and founder of Stars for Stripes, Judy Seale, was awarded the Commander’s Award for Public Service by the Department of the Army. This award was presented to Seale for exceptionally meritorious service in support of service members and civilians, both overseas and statewide. The Commander’s Award is the fourth highest public service honorary award that may be granted to a private citizen and given to recognize service or achievements that contribute significantly to the accomplishment of the mission of an Army activity, command or staff agency.
The award was presented on May 4 at Ft. Bragg by Joseph Anderson, Lieutenant General, United States Army with the notation, “We greatly appreciate the efforts of you and your entire team in coordinating celebrity tours to combat zones. The provided assistance to other organizations in fundraising for veterans, wounded warriors, and military families your team provided significantly increased morale. Your tireless efforts and continued dedication to service members is deeply appreciated and reflects great credit upon you and the entire Stars for Stripes family.”
