The First Release From Rutland’s Forthcoming EP Due in 2020
(Nashville, Tenn. – Oct. 24, 2019) – Singer-Songwriter Kaylee Rutland is gearing up to release a catchy new single, titled “Kiss Me Like You Miss Me.” The track is Rutland’s first release off her forthcoming EP, which is set for release in 2020, and will be available through all streaming platforms and digital retailers on Oct. 25. The fun, upbeat song captures the urgency and impatience of two lovers longing to be together, which resonates with Rutland as she currently navigates a long-distance relationship. Co-written with Danick Dupelle (Emerson Drive, Tebey) and Patricia Conroy (Reba McEntire, Trisha Yearwood) and produced by Brent Rader (Dylan Scott), Rutland aimed to craft a song that painted the whirlwind and passion of falling in love. The writers started with the title “Kiss Me Like You Miss Me” and the remainder of the song developed from there. “‘Kiss Me Like You Miss Me’ is a fun, flirty song about falling head-first in love. It’s a song for long-distance lovers, sassy girlfriends, friends you miss, or just driving down the highway. It was a blast getting to create it with Danick and Patricia, and I am so excited to finally get to share it with the world,” Rutland commented. Fans can expect to see a music video for the track in early 2020. “Kiss Me Like You Miss Me” is a characteristic sneak peek of the thoughtful new tunes included on Rutland’s upcoming EP. Listeners should expect to hear a collection of tracks that are complete with captivating lyrics and represent a variety of life’s stages and milestones. Rutland commented, “This song, as well as all of my upcoming music, continues to feel more thought-through from a songwriting perspective. I’m really excited about the melodies, the instrumentation in the production, and just how we tried to craft creative lyrics during the writing process. I feel more involved with all of the pieces of this project and am excited to continue releasing music that feels like me.” About Kaylee Rutland: Country songstress Kaylee Rutland has been named a Country Living Magazine “Artist to Watch,” a Billboard Magazine “Top 10 Artists to Watch,” and was a finalist in the inaugural Nash Next competition, due in large part to her feverish social media following.
