(Nashville, TENN. – Mar. 12, 2020) Singer-songwriter, Kaylee Rutland has premiered her new track titled “Superhero” on Sounds Like Nashville, along with the intimate acoustic video for the song (view here). “Superhero” was inspired by the feeling of hope in a relationship. “We’ve all been in a situation where we’ve loved someone and hoped they feel the same way. This song is all about recognizing one’s falling short of ‘perfection,’ but still seeing that we can be the perfect person for someone we love,” commented Rutland.
Co-written by Rutland along with Brittany Ray and produced by Brent Radar, the track combines metaphorical lyrics and emotional vulnerability, tying both together into a sweet, hopeful love song. Rutland added, “This might be the most excited I’ve been about releasing a new single. ‘Superhero’ is one of my favorite songs that I’ve ever gotten to be a part of writing and recording. Working with both Brent and Brittany made this song into something really special, and I hope everyone who hears it finds something that speaks to them when they listen.” The acoustic video for the song was filmed at The Palace Theatre in Gallatin, Tenn., and was directed by Logen Christopher (view here).
“Superhero” is the second track to be released off of Rutland’s forthcoming EP titled, Every Minute Matters, which is set for release on April 24th, 2020. “This new EP is a love letter to the people and experiences in my past, as well as the person I have been, as I continue to grow and change for a beautiful and exciting future,” said Rutland.

About Kaylee Rutland: Country songstress Kaylee Rutland is showing a new side of herself and her music with her forthcoming project, Every Minute Matters, set for release this Spring. Since the release of her previous EP, Rutland has graduated from Belmont University and immersed herself in music full-time. While crafting this new EP, Rutland has kept busy with many co-writes and recording in the studio, along with leading a small group for her church and reading her favorite literature in her free time.
