Blu Partners with Nashville Fashion Icon Mike Ryan to Launch a Fan Contest on April 8
(Nashville, Tenn.– April 8, 2022) Genre-bending artist Manny Blu is getting fans ready to see him on the road with a re-release of his original, fan-favorite track, “Playback,” today. Paying homage to his first cross-country Canadian tour in 2019, this re-release firmly positions Blu as a trailblazer. He prepares to bring a new style of country music to stages across Canada this summer as he joins Dallas Smith’s Some Things Never Change Tour.
“I first released ‘Playback’ in 2019 as part of the Leave It Like It Is EP, when I was on my first-ever Canadian tour,” Blu explains. “It’s wild to think how much has changed since then, both for me personally and in the music industry. I wanted to celebrate my growth as an artist by putting out a new version of this track that brings back so many great memories for me.”
This May, Blu will hit the road with multi-award-winning artist Dallas Smith on his Some Things Never Change Tour. Kicking off in Brandon, MB on May 24, the tour will see Blu ignite stages in 24 markets across Canada throughout May and June with performances of his recent hit tracks, “Doin’ Fine,” “Train,” “95,” and his most recent Canadian country radio hit, “Valet,” feat. Brittany Kennell.
Wanting to share his signature style with his Blu Cru, Blu has partnered with Nashville fashion designer, Mike Ryan, to launch a fan contest to win a one-of-a-kind leather jacket. Starting today, fans can enter to win. For details on how to enter, fans are encouraged to text Blu at 615-219-2867. The winner will be announced on May 13, ensuring that the winning fan will have the jacket in time to attend any upcoming tour date in country-punk style.
With over 1M streams and listeners in 128 countries, Nashville-based artist Manny Blu started to establish himself as more of a global artist throughout the past two years. In 2021, he released two EPs, Country Punk EP and DEViL, which featured hit songwriters Michael Hardy, Ryan Hurd, Craig Wiseman, Ryan Beaver, and more.
Tracks from both EPs found themselves in the spotlight on hit playlists: Spotify’s New Music Nashville and Country Rocks playlists, Apple Music New in Country, Country Risers playlist, Tidal’s Country Waves and Rising: Country playlists, CMT’s “The Roundup” playlist and more.
Both EPs followed in the footsteps of his unique vibe to country music–a sound he introduced with his debut EP Leave It Like It Is (2019) and follow-up 2020 EP release, New Ink. He stayed connected with fans and has grown his social footprint on TikTok to a record of 2.5M+ and his YouTube series, which includes his Live & Turned Up concert series, to a record of 1M+ views over this past year. To date, he has filmed two Live & Turned Up series, which included performance combinations of his own catalog and covers. Blu recently released a Live & Unplugged YouTube series, which is a stripped-down performance video series, and his most recent single and music video, “Prove Me Wrong.”
